My wife has been at Brookdale East Wichita for a few months now. It's a good community and she's starting to feel at home there. Her room is nice. She's got a little bit of a larger room than some of them because it's at the end of the hall. It's a nice place, but I'm just a little concerned about whether they have enough help sometimes. They have a room full of food and they serve good food. The dining area is nice, it's almost like a restaurant.

Our tour at Brookdale East Wichita was very good and it was very nice. The staff that gave the tour was very good, very helpful and able to answer all of the questions that we had. She was very good. It's a very nice facility and the location is easy to get to. The girl that was giving us the tourvwas very good and very helpful. She also was able to give us some other resources that we were interested in.

Brookdale East Wichita is a great place. I was looking for a private room and the only thing they have is a companion room, and I don't think my wife would do good in a companion room, so I was waiting to see if they come up with a private room. They have a lot of activities, but I don't remember what all they were. I know they have movies and all kinds of stuff like that. They have a courtyard. I did like it, and I was considering it if they have a private room, which they don't have. It's a great place. It was clean and organized. Everything seemed organized. It was great. The staff was great.

We toured Brookdale East Wichita. The lady that did the tour was very nice, very professional, and she took us around the building and explained everything. She explained their schedules and the activities that they would have for the patients. She was very good. The rooms were very nice, you had an option to use their furniture or bring in your own. The only thing that I didn't like about the Brookdale location is that the patient ratio to men to women wasn't equal. There were more women there than men. I did like that it was close to my mom's home, so she would not have to drive that far. They would do their laundry for them. They had inside the building facility, where the residents can go outside to get some fresh air. I did like that part of it.

We liked Brookdale East Wichita. It's bright and open, and they only have memory care. The staff was really good, very welcoming, and all of them followed up with us. The rooms were nice, but smaller than the one father ended up in, and the bathrooms were nice as well. It's a very clean facility. The dining area was a little bit smaller and kind of tucked in the back.

Brookdale East Wichita was nice, but the closed meal hours was a big negative; they only had one hour each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If something happened and you missed that hour, you're out of luck. They also had two choices for lunch and supper. While the food was good, I wasn't sure that they would always accommodate my father's needs. It was delicious and well-seasoned though. They had independent apartments that were nice but my dad would have had to walk a ways to get to the lunch area, which in bad weather and his mobility was concerning. It's a pretty place but those were concerns and reasons we didn't go there. The people I talked to were very friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful place and for somebody who's very independent and had an opportunity to fix their own meals and go to the cafeteria, that would have been awesome. There were a lot of good thingsl but we had a lot of major concerns for my dad.
