I was very impressed with The Harrison. It was very clean and inviting. I especially liked the way that it had the atrium, which was open. All three floors were able to look and see movement and things going on. They had a little area that had birds and I just thought that was a great added touch. Everything about this place was just impressive. This one has the Medicaid waiver so that may be something that my mother will be able to do further down the road. Everyone that I encountered there was very nice. They answered any questions I had and went above and beyond, and even answered some questions that I had about military assistance for my mother. The staff was pretty knowledgeable in all those areas. I saw people waiting for the dining area and everything smelled very good, but I didn't sample any of it. It was something that I would gladly move my mother into. And she is a very, very clean person herself.

My mom is on the waiting list at The Harrison. It's five-star. We like it. The staff is nice. The facility is nice. They have a lot of activities. They have crafts, they got bingo, and they have karaoke night. They got different stuff that they do every day. They play cards, too. They have a salon, and they have physical therapy. The rooms were nice. You can have a one-bedroom or a studio.

I went to The Harrison. I like that it is open and airy. The rooms are nice and spacious as far as the assisted living part of it. I haven't been into memory care. As far as assisted living, it's nice to be able to look onto the common area like come out of your room and look into the common area and kind of see what's going on. The other thing is because my mother hadn't had her Medicaid set up yet, the admission (I'm assuming she was with admission), she gave me a reference for a lawyer that sets up Medicaid, which was awesome. The staff that showed us around was all business. She was kind and nice. They have a great big gazebo and that's nice. I call it a gazebo but it's really big and they have cookouts out there. Actually, it's a big patio, but it's covered, and then they have a big common area that the floors with the rooms look over. It's kind of like a hotel. There are great indoor and outdoor areas.

The Harrison was fine. The outside looked rough, but once you got inside, it was like a total transition. It was very nice and fine. We were looking at the memory care facility. The room that the staff showed us was a very nice size. I was very impressed with that. The food looked fine. They were serving dinner and lunch when we walked in. It was nice to know that there were only 14 residents in the memory care facility. But it looked like there were only two nurses for those 14. The studio, honestly, we decided that we wouldn't even put our dog in there. It was so tiny. It was like a closet. That isn't even an option. So then they took us to the deluxe studio, and I thought that was very nice. I didn't even see the need to look at a one-bedroom because the deluxe studio was very nice. The only person I talked to was a salesman, and she was good. She went, battled, and got the price reduced. The outside needs to spruce up, and the memory care could use a little sprucing. The other part looks nice. They do crafts. They are trying to get classes together for the Magnolia program. They can have them in a little cooking session or take care of the baby or things that develop their minds. I think that's a great avenue to be going down. They've got entertainment for them.

The Harrison was wonderful, but they could not take care of my mother. They figured out she needed skilled nursing, which they didn't have. When you walk in you think you're in a big Las Vegas hotel. It's beautiful, and the staff was nice.

It is a great facility to work with . I brought my mother over from westside gardern plaza and they honsetly took very good care of her and if I had any questions or concerns they were immediately addressed. The best compliment I can give is they treat you like family and really do want to take care of your loved one.
