My client is at Crown Point Christian Village. They have activities going on every single day. They know the residents and care about them. They call the residents by name. They even recognize me. These people know exactly who everybody is, and I like that. They get them up there, interacting with everybody on a daily basis. I see a dramatic increase in my client's momentum, her thinking, and everything else within a short period of time. She's been happy. Her room is a little small. She's sharing a double room. The window side of the room is much bigger than what she has, which is the door side, but it's very accommodating. The facility is very clean. It's a fairly new facility. She says the food is good. They have physical therapy, and it's quite adequate. They're consistently encouraging the residents to keep doing as much as they can. So far, I have zero complaints with this facility. I was very impressed. The only bad thing for me is the drive. It's a very small community. It's very friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone. They're on the expensive side. They do accept Medicaid as well as private pay.

We have moved into Crown Point Christian Village. The ground is absolutely beautiful here. They have a lot of flowers and trees. They have walking paths that you can use. It's pretty nice. The staff is excellent. The services are not perfect, but suitable. They're maybe a little shorthanded because it's very difficult to hire somebody right now. For activities, we have recreation, different games, and stuff. They have exercise for all of us each day except for Saturday and Sunday. They play bingo and other games, too. They have a library and a computer that is available if you need one. They have two floors and two elevators for coming up and down. If you want to go down, you don't have to use the stairways, you still have another elevator. The food is fairly good, and the dining area is excellent. The chef is pretty knowledgeable. He does a very good job of putting in a nice meal each meal. On lunch and supper, they have a bowl of soup, which is excellent, and it's not the same stuff each time. However, it's very expensive. For the amount of money I pay, I expect a little more.

We moved my in-laws into Crown Point Christian Village. First, they were in rehab, and the room was really good. They had a closet and they had things to put their clothes in. They had beds that went up and down. The wheelchairs were in there. They had other chairs in there for visitors. They had wider hallways. They had chair rails all the way down the hallways. There were a lot of staff. Even on the weekends there seemed to be adequate staff. Now they're out of rehab, and they moved into the assisted living portion. The room is really nice. They've got a living room-kitchen combo with a small kitchenette thing, and then they've got the bathroom and the bedroom. It's really nice. We didn't try their food, but my in-laws really like it. It's the first place that they really have started eating a lot, so that says something. They've started participating in activities, too. The biggest one is bingo, and they love to play bingo. I would say the value for the money is good.

My mom is in Crown Point Christian Village. The location is very convenient for the whole family, and all the employees are very nice and very caring. She is in a 1-bedroom apartment, it's very spacious with a lot of storage, and she's very happy there with her home now. I have not tried the food, but I've sat with her in the dining hall while she ate and she loves the food. She has no complaints at all, and she's put on weight. It's a beautiful location, there are a lot of green areas, trees, and birds, and it's very peaceful. They have church services, craft sessions, games, and movie nights. She has physical therapy, they can go for walks outside and they have field trips where they take them places. So if you're wanting to participate in all these activities, you would be very busy. I've talked with the chefs, they're very open to suggestions from all the people, and they meet with everybody once a month to go over the menu and what they would like to see.

My mother-in-law is moving into Crown Point Christian Village. We're very happy with it. It's very clean, very well lit, and very nice. We're very happy with the staff. They've been marvelous with us. They've been a lot of help and a lot of care. The dining area is very nice. They have specials every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If the people don't want what's on the specials, they'll order right off of the menu, and there are several items on the menu. They go outside for exercise. They have a movie theater room where they can see movies, they have a library, and they have an area where they can sit and play games, chess cards, and things like that. They have a big dining room for families. The food is good, too.
