My mom stayed at Arboria of Long Grove Memory Care. It's beautiful, but it's too fancy and you're paying for looks. The staff didn't know exactly what they were doing. They took my mom off medication, which she should have been on, and they called me at 11:00 on numerous times. They were constantly calling when they should know what they were doing. The food was OK. The only activities I had seen was jewelry making and watching TV. I didn't see much activity-wise. The bathrooms were dirty. I really didn't care for the place. Most of the people who worked there left. The director and the assistant left. They're very professional when you go for a round table meeting. Nobody was prepared, but I was prepared, gave them all the documentation they needed, and they lost my file. They need to be more prepared when they go to the round table meeting. They should make sure they're writing things down and they shouldn't be calling family member at 11:00 at night saying there's something wrong. They need to be accurate to the persons who are taking their loved ones there. Not many people can afford it because they are charging about $9,000 a month. I got a bill for $2,500 for medication when they're supposed to bill the insurance company and not me. Also, they sent out a bill that says the date and the date it's due with nothing underneath or any itemization on it.
