I was a patient there and this place was referred to facility. The facility isn't in the best condition needs lots of repairs form holes in the walls to bugs in patients rooms and bathrooms.
Even needs better patient care from CNA's and nurses. I know its sad when staff brings a place down and workers don't work together.
Please let me speak on the ones that have great compassion for your patients.
Nurses third shift and second shift Miss Simonette, Miss Patty.
My CNAs Ruby second shift Brittany first shift and Reggie second shift truly great compassion to every patient they touch and need to be recognized for care they give unto every patient.
Now physical therapy team can't make a place you want your family to stay. Your Therapy team is the best ever but your facility needs work on the inside start with building and staff.
Now for food I tried to explain to your staff I had a gastro bypass in October and there were foods I couldn't eat I was last on there list to eat. Poor job in the kitchen.
Maintenance and House keeping needs help met not one friendly person and couldn't get things fixed in our room. Cleaning out of the question touch at it.
Two stars Therapy and Two Nurses.

Our experience having my mom at Manorcare Of Homewood has been good so far. They take her into therapy, they help her with walking, and getting her back into daily life. It's clean and doesn't have that odor or smell when you walk in. The staff is nice and friendly.

My mother fell three times within her two week stay. The facility is understaff. The staff that is available is lazy and inattentative. Please do not bring your loved one to this facility.

I witnessed several instances that are cause for concern. The failure to use a belt when moving a patient that required it and having to provide assistance because the CNA didn't use the belt. My father's medical chart stated that he needed to use a C-PAP and those instructions were not followed. Perhaps the most aggregious incident was when leaving one day, we saw an elderly man almost fall out of his car and employees were going to continue to ignore him and go to lunch until my sister called them out on it. Finally we get a pharmacy bill and are charged for medications my father never received and no one returns a call.

this facility is under staffed! Staff is not attentive to patients. There have been several times that I have heard patients yelling for assistance. Dinner is served well after 6pm. Patients unable to move about are ignore, no fresh water given and no change of diapers. They are only seen or checked on when medication is given. My opinion is that 80% of staff is there for a paycheck.

I visited this facility
The experience at Manorcare was good. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff was good, too. The dining room was small but nice. The nursing staff's efficiency when giving medication needs improvement, though.

They have been wonderful at Manorcare. I have no complaints. The social worker is very helpful. The nursing staff has been very attentive, and they keep me informed of everything. They allowed us to have a 90th birthday party for my aunt with no charge for the room usage.

Mother just got out from Manorcare Rehab, and she stayed there for six weeks. What impressed me the most was it was very clean and smelled good. They paid attention to her needs, they listen to her, and the therapy was right on point. She didn’t particularly care for the food. She was in a 2-bedroom that was very spacious and had a window view. They have movie nights, facials, and massages. However, the nursing staff wasn’t as friendly as the others.
