I like Park Place of Elmhurst. I'd been going there for several years, about once a week or so to play Scrabble with my friend and some of the residents. It's twice as expensive as the others and they don't have as many activities because it's a smaller place. Several people pay to have a full-time aide with them so they can stay in the independent living because they don't want to move to the assisted living. The food was great. The staff was very nice. The facility was beautiful. It's only 11 years old. They just redecorated everything.

Park Place of Elmhurst was lovely. The people were extraordinarily nice. Everything they offered seemed to be of top quality. It was just very upscale. The floor plans of the apartments were lovely and varied. It had a sense of openness and light. It was just very nice. They have several different venues, and they all looked very pleasant and upscale.

My dad moved to Park Place about a year ago. He is in Memory Care (Gilead). He loves it! I had Laura and Elijah to help me through the whole process of making Park Place the right decision for my dad's care. I was confident with the Covid protocol that Elijah and Laura explained to me. And Elijah has been very diligent about sending out weekly sometimes daily updates on Covid. My dad has received 2 Covid boosters as well as a flu shot at Park Place. I was there to explain everything to him and the shots went off without a hitch. The Gilead staff was so efficient. My dad has a nice big and bright room overlooking the garden that we could decorate as we wished. He can elect to stay and read in his room if he likes or partake in the many daily activities available. I fill out my dad's menu every week and I've sat with him for many of those meals. Everything is cooked just as I ordered and the kitchen staff is amazing. I've gotten to know so many of the staff in Gilead and I can't say enough about their dedication to the residents. Especially during these uncertain times of Covid. They are always so friendly when I come to visit. Which is often since I only live 2 blocks away. They keep me informed about my dad's care and always have time to answer my questions. I can't thank them all enough for the care and respect they have shown my dad. I have peace of mind that he is safe. So THANK YOU to all the incredible Gilead staff.

Park Place of Elmhurst was lovely. It was closer, but there was a buy-in. As far as the setting and everything, it was lovely and beautiful. We didn't eat there, but their food looked lovely. They have a cafe, plus the dining room. They also had a theater area, exercise, PT and OT, and all those things. They offer at least two meals. The staff who accommodated us were not only nice, but they were there a long time. There are options of one- to two-bedrooms. Even though it's 20 years old, it's very well done.

My mother lives in the independent living portion of Park Place. She is very happy there. Her first year - before COVID restrictions - she participated in activities and exercise classes, and was excited to tell us about it, and to meet her new neighbors when we would visit. The community is friendly and welcoming. The staff are friendly, caring and professional. Her room is large and bright and she has made it her own. She can cook her own food, but enjoys the provided food so much that she doesn’t do much of that anymore. During the COVID restrictions, I have been impressed by their care to keep the community safe while maximizing the independence and openness of the facility - changing the restrictions as the local case count changes to safely allow some visitors, and in-person activities/classes. Thanks so much for a great place for my mom to live!

My husband and I have lived here about 2 years. We feel very fortunate to be here where the staff is so dedicated to our well-being. My husband swims twice a week, uses the fitness machines with the full time trainer twice a week. I have a wonderful garden plot filled with plants from our previous garden. Jane and Dave F.
