I visited this facility

The Liberty Village apartments were very beautiful and well kept. It's a beautiful facility. I was very impressed with it. The staff was excellent. We conversed with the maintenance man, the lady who does the laundry, and the man who does the mail delivery. It's just incredible. It was a great place. They know everybody by their first name and all about them. The place was so clean. It's just immaculate. Right now, they're serving breakfast only three days a week because of COVID. They were serving daily breakfast, but they cut it down to three days a week because of COVID. It's a sit-down dining room. It's beautiful. There's an outside patio where you can take your food outside if you'd want to eat outside with tables and chairs. There's an exercise room, and they have a therapist come in and give people Sit and Be Fit wellness exercises, which was very nice. Onsite laundry was gorgeous. It was just so nice and clean. Everything was so well taken care of. It's a wonderful place. Parking is off-street parking. They have parking lots both in the back and the front of the building and it's a locked community. You have to have an entrance code or a key to get in. The staff was very helpful. I was in both the one and two-bedroom. The cabinets were lower, so you don't have such high cabinets. They have a dishwasher, refrigerator, and stove. They have a cutout on the bathtub, so people don't have to raise their legs so high to get into the bathtub or to the shower.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm getting settled in at Liberty Village. I haven't been here that long. The apartment is a nice size. It's a nice facility. It's inviting and warm when you first walk in. Everything is pretty convenient. The mailboxes and stuff are on the first floor, the main garbage is on the first floor, the laundry room is on the second floor, the main dining room is on the first floor, and they also have a lounge on the third floor for the residents to sit in and it had computers and TV. So far, so good. I haven't had any problems. I need stuff done and they came up and did it for me. I had some tables that I had not put together before I moved in, and they put that together for me. The staff said if I want curtain rods put up, he would put those up for me too, just let him know when I get them. My apartment is good. It's a nice size room and it's clean. The tub is easy to get in and out of. There are guardrails in there. It's just a one-bedroom that I'm in. They have bingo, Bible study, three days a week they have continental breakfast downstairs and they have muffins, coffee, toast, and stuff like that. They have different activities. There's a foot and ankle clinic next door, but they also come here to the building and provide services, there's a man that does physical therapy also and provides services to the residents if they're interested in it. There are a lot of things going on if you need stuff so they make it convenient. The residents are very friendly. I have not eaten here because I'm usually going out. On the days that they have the continental breakfast, I have physical therapy and I'm gone out. They don't provide four meals for the residents here. The facility is nice and clean. It's a little dated, but other than that, it's clean. Value for money is pretty good. The rent is not as high as the other place.

Liberty Village is a clean and neat place. We've got no issues with the building, as well as the staff. The parking lot gets snow plowed all the time and shoveled and all that stuff, so we don't have to worry about that. They have continental breakfasts here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings. We have Bingo every Thursday evening and this weekend, we're having a St Patrick's Day. You'd sign up for them and you pay for it and you all meet downstairs.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Liberty Village takes people for what they can afford. My mom has a nice 1-bedroom apartment. People will bring her meals sometimes. They get special things going on, and she loves it there. She can cook when she wants, or they have people from different restaurants come in, and they pay $10 a meal, but it's not all the time. They have physical therapy, and there are nurses who come in and draw blood. They have a library, entertainment come in sometimes, and Bingo Night.

I visited this facility

Liberty Village was the place that I wanted to be because they had everything that I wanted. However, I would have to move in there almost immediately, and I had some personal financial obligations and after going to through the numbers, so I had to wait. The room was beautiful just like any apartment that you might rent. I saw the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom apartments. The staff was wonderful, very nice, very warm, and very helpful. They had some activities, like bingo and games.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Liberty Village is very senior-friendly. The facility is very clean. The staff is very responsive. There are a number of activities at the facilitty. They seemed to be very supportive, and it has been a positive experienc so far. My mom is very happy. The apartment is perfect. It has a kitchen, a living room, bedroom, and a handicap-accessible bathroom. Everything was clean; freshly cleaned carpeting, painted walls, and laminate flooring in the kitchen. It was just very well-kept, and very easy to adjust to.

I moved into Liberty Village. I lived here before, and it's a good place to live. It's convenient to expressways. Elmhurst is a beautiful town to be a part of, and you can walk to downtown Elmhurst from here. There are restaurants across the street as well as quick shopping like a drugstore and a food store. This is a nice neighborhood, everything is accessible -- the expressways 290 and 355 for traveling in and around Chicago. It is attractive and well kept. All are senior citizens, ages from 65 up. The guy who maintains the building is helpful. The people are good, and the manager is fair, kind, and helpful. Just all in all, it's a good place. Some people have walkers, and there are a few in wheelchairs, but for the most part, it is an independent living building. Most of the people are able to care for themselves; if not, they might need a little assistance. I still drive, so there's a parking for driving. Some are still working part-time. It's a good place for people who are able to still get around and don't need much assistance or any assistance. It's a good place to grow older.

I chose Liberty Village because it's closer to Chicago, closer to my children, and closer to the church that I go to. The dining room is nice. Security-wise the building is nice and secure. Activity-wise there's nothing for the participant in this building to do. There is no pool and no recreation room. If you are looking for a facility with recreations, this building does not have it.
