I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband has moved into Grace Assisted Living - Fairview Lakes. Everybody was friendly and it seemed neat and clean. We toured the other sister community, but they said they didn't have room there for memory patients, but the Meridian outlet did. The staff seems to care about him and is interested in his care and that he's happy. There haven't been a lot of activities because they're in lockdown. But what little bit they do is they've taken them out and let them sit outdoors in the sun on a patio because it's still warm. They're trying to keep everybody kind of separated a little bit because they're still trying to get cleared up. I can't remember if she said it was a staff member or a resident, but somebody tested positive. And so they're trying to get a couple of negative readings from everybody before they can open back up for visitors. They have a monthly or weekly chart of what activities they're going to do and I found that nice. It's somewhat impressive to see. We as visitors have to wear masks as well as the employees, but the residents don't wear masks. I ate there one time and I like the food, it was fine. I looked around my home area in Oregon, and it was a lot more expensive. The location is better for us because it's close to the kids, and turns out the cost was less. They have a community TV, which is nice, so people that don't necessarily have a TV can go out and watch the television as a group. I noticed there are a lot of the residents that can walk around or go bowling, or do whatever with their walkers. They don't discourage them and make them stay in their rooms, and I was glad to see that.

My mother-in-law is now a resident of Grace Assisted Living. They have memory care, which is what we needed. It's very good. They're very caring people. They made it super easy. My mother-in-law is in a small room. We're having to get her set up on Medicaid, so it has to be a shared room, which is the hardest thing for her to adjust to. Then with COVID, she had 14 days of quarantine. It was difficult. The people there just kept in touch with me. If I had questions, they were just really good to answer them, and if they didn't know the answer right off, they would call me back. They've just been excellent. My mother-in-law is very picky and she said the food is horrible. The menu looked exceptional and much better than the place where she was at, but I don't really know. It smelled good. It's so frustrating. We're not able to visit. Otherwise, I would know all about that, but the menu looked very good. They have exercise class, they have cards, they have other board games, and they have an outing where they actually load them up in the bus and go places on Thursdays. They have movie nights, too. They are keeping the residents involved as much as they can with the COVID. I feel that she is safe and I feel that she is well taken care of.

I can't say enough good things about Grace Assisted Living Fairview Lakes. They took care of my father-in- law for a year and a half. We were hoping to use them first but they weren't able to get a room quick enough for what we needed, so that's the only reason why we didn't choose them. My father-in-law's room is a studio where you have a full-handicapped bathroom, one room with a bed with enough space for a recliner, a TV, and a dresser. His room has a backdoor with a patio where he can go out and sit. Their food is just the same with all facility-food. They had the same activities as other communities like bingo, movies, ice cream socials, music, piano and guitar and took the residents out every day like for shopping if they wanted to go. Their price is comparable to other places, with three meals included.

Mandie and all the employees at Grace Assisted Living have gone beyond expectations to help my mother settle in and be comfortable. Most importantly, my mother is happy and well cared for. I appreciate all that Mandie and the employees at Grace have done to help my family to ease into this transition, and I recommend this location for assisted living.

Grace Assisted Living is a fine facility, and my father has already moved in. The rooms are very nice. The staff is very good, and there are lots of activities like entertainment, crafts, and they take the residents out on a ride. The food is good, and my father likes it a lot.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm a resident of Grace Assisted Living Fairview Lakes. They're excellent, the staff is very good at what they do, and the accommodations and services are good. I have everything I need or want at a moment's notice. They play every game imaginable, they have exercises, they have movies at a moment's notice, and they have bus rides. They just started a new menu, and it's going to be great.

I'm pleased with Grace Assisted Living. My mom has been there for a little over two years. She doesn't need a lot of care, but when she does, they take care of her. It's a nice, clean, well-taken care of facility with nice, helpful staff. They have somebody come in to play piano or sing and a big game room with cards and puzzles and dice games. They have a big dining room that's nice, spacious area so you have plenty of room. I've eaten there a few times, and the food was good. We haven't had any problems. They come by once a week and do laundry and housekeeping, and if you need it in between like if you made a mess or spilled something, they won't make you wait until it's your cleaning day. It's nice, spacious-looking with high ceilings and nice and new furniture. They have new decorations and pictures on the halls. You'd be pretty impressed with how it looks when you first walk in.

I have visited my son-in-law’s mother at Grace Assisted Living Fairview Lakes. I spent quite a bit of time with her in the memory care part. I think they have a marvelous staff working in the memory care unit. I rate the staff very highly. Like any memory care unit, it's not going to have a great appearance, so when I first walked in, I was a little dismayed, but then I found out how very helpful the staff was. It has an older carpet. My son-in-law’s mother is active although she needs certain medical attention, and her memory is going. I was dismayed that there were so many people on walkers, which is normal, but I was hoping that the people were a little higher functioning. It is clean, orderly, and well attended by the staff. They have a very full schedule made by an activity director, so they have something going on most of the time. They are trying to reach the level of interest of the different people, and the staff is very aware of the individual needs. They were able to differentiate between the higher needs of some people and able to individualize the needs while working with a group of 8 or 10. I was impressed with the activity level that they have.

I visited this facility

Grace was very open and very helpful, and it's very close to my home. They treated me like family, and the lady was very nice. The administrator was so kind and helpful and went way above and beyond. They had nice common areas, and you get to go out. However, it's in a commercial area, there were not a lot of grounds, but what they had was very nice.

Grace Assisted Living looked nice; they were actually building to expand. From the outside, it looked pleasant, and it was clean inside. They have a monthly calendar, and they have a little bus to take them once a week to Walmart, or to social activities.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My Mom lived at Grace - Meridian for 4 years and loved every minute of it. The staff is the best! It is due to the great care and loving staff that my mom lived an extra 4 years on a 6 month diagnosis. Happy and Healthy - Grace was on the spot with her needs and kept me informed immediately with any changes. Grace provided me with the guidance on the emotional path of separation. Her room was always spotless. Clothes cleaned weekly. It needs to be noted " the respectful attitude and dignity they provide the residents". The yoga, cards and outing activities kept my mom involved on a daily basis. Thanks Grace Staff - You Are the Best!

I visited this facility

The rooms are very nice, and the food seems very good, but my mom is in the Memory Care Unit, so she doesn't really know if the food is good or not. I haven't eaten any of it, but it looked good when we were there visiting. We are paying for the highest level of care, and so far, that is what we have gotten. The neighborhood is a residential area, and they have a yard of their own that they can go out in.

Grace appeared to be a very nice place, but it felt a little like a nursing home, and less like a home. The way it was laid out just felt too much like a nursing home. They were setting up for an ice cream social.

They were respectful as to what we were looking for. It was just kind of far away. Grace had a good facility, and they were very helpful. They showed me a pretty good tour, so I would say if anybody lives close to them, yes I would go for it.

I visited this facility

I thought Grace was a wonderful place. They were very welcoming and gracious. The residents living there were very friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to have one of my parents live there. The rooms were of a nice size and clean, with easy access to the bathroom for the handicapped and those in wheelchairs. I think it was one of the larger guest rooms that I looked at.

I visited this facility

Grace Assisted Living has an Alzheimer's care. They just didn't have an opening right away for a double room. We would have to wait until August or September. I talked with residents who lived there and they loved it. I like the owners and I like some of the staff I saw. I thought they had head therapies and other singing groups coming in. The owner's family made sure that everyone had a church service on Sunday mornings.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I felt that Grace was a great place for my grandma, and she spent the final years of her life there. They did an excellent job at giving her and others plenty of activities to get them engaged and help them to socialize with the other residents. In fact, my grandma was "elected" to be the president of the resident council, and she loved the opportunity to organize gatherings and parties for the other residents. I could tell she was taken care of because she was always happy when I came to see her. The staff was always happy and pleasant when I visited, and I appreciated the attention that they gave to my grandma. There were several times when they transported her to family gatherings in the local area, and they were very caring in helping her throughout the process of doing so, and it was obviously a difficult thing to do. While I wouldn't necessarily say that the facility was overly modern, it was clean and comfortable. All in all, my grandma enjoyed her time there, which is what matters most.
