"My dad was a resident of Riverside Health and Rehabilitation. Every single time I've ever called because my dad was in rehab for a broken hip there, they have done whatever I've asked and answered the phone every time. The rehab worked out just fine. It was great, the place doesn't smell, and the lawn is kept. They try to accommodate people when they could finally visit, with tents outside and that kind of thing. They just really looked after dad. There is a lady that goes to their room at night and prays with them. I don't know about ladies, but they did have a gentleman that cut my dad's hair. He's also the guy that cuts the grass outside, too. It was like their maintenance guy; he also cuts hair on the side, and he would not take any money for having done that. I chose Riverside due to the closeness of our home, and I have a handicapped mum that I had to go and visit him with through the window. We kept it close, and the hospital recommended that was the best offering in the area."

"My friend is in Providence Healthcare of Thomaston. She's had problems since she got there about being cold and not having enough cover. The place is old. The floors are old and spotty. The rooms are too small for two beds. The nurses at the desk are very friendly, but the rest of the people do not show much friendliness when you ask them a question. I'm hoping that'll change when they get used to me as a visitor for my friend down there. It's a little rundown. The dining area is OK. I haven't been there when a meal is served, but my friend is not complimentary at all of their food. They have prayer meetings and they have a smoking area for them to go and smoke if they want. I don't think it's worth whatever she's paying. There's a teeny, tiny little closet. They have to share this chest of drawers with their roommate. She's not happy and I'm not thrilled with this place. It's not exactly what we were thinking it would be."

"My sister stayed at Harborview Health Systems of Thomaston. I didn't like anything about it. My sister didn't get a bath there. The staff were mostly bad, but there was one nice person. My sister's room was very old and used-looking. They neglect the patients. She was in diapers at the time because she couldn't get up, and they didn't change her. The food was usually cold when she got it. They need to provide better care for the patients. I would go up there to the front desk, and they would be sitting there using their phones and ignoring the patient's light, which is bad."

"I became the careprovider for my uncle upon the death of my father. He was living on his own with me trying to oversee his finances and health and recreation from an hour away. It became impossible as he needs constant guidence. Magnolia Manor was an excellent choice for my uncle it provides for hishealth and he has companionship and a friendly, caring staff. They provide lots of projects to keep him busy and he still has access to the outside through visits and friends and family day trips. It was the best decision i could have made for James. He is well cared for and says he is the happiest he's been in a long time. "

"We chose the Villa Rose for my aunt. She will move in this month. We liked it for the location and size. The staff was very helpful, answered all the questions, typical sales. The facility does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's clean. They have a basic cable, Wifi, they have a dining hall, and all the rooms are private. It's close to our home, that's why we liked it."

"I heard about West Village through word of mouth. I visited the place and I find it excellent. The place is clean. Activities are very easily accessible there. Right now I am on their waiting list. "

"My father was at Summerhill in the full-skilled nursing home in a very nice private room with a big bathroom. They were great. I didn’t have any complaints. Everything was good. I’m very happy with everything. The food was great, and they had plenty of activities for those who chose to do them. They’re very caring and compassionate. "

"It was a large facility. It had different wings and it had a wing exclusively for alzheimer's patient. They were very well staffed was very knowledgeable on how to deal with alzheimer's patient. The rooms were semi-private and private. They were not very huge but spacious. They had private bathrooms. I would recommend it to others. "

"My wife is in Arbor Manor Assisted Living Community. It's a good place. I hadn't had anything that was negative. It's all been positive. I'm on a first-name basis with my wife's nurses. If I'll call them, and they'll be busy, they'll call me back. We have a friendship that you don't have in a lot of places. I know there have fish every Friday, and everybody likes that. They have eggs and bacon for breakfast. They have a hearty breakfast in there, and everybody seems to be enjoying their food. The facility is always clean. It's a very professionally run place. They got a big old television in there where they all sit and lounge there. Normally when I go visit my wife, and the weather permits, we go outside on the patio and visit. But now they are locked down, and I haven't seen her for about three weeks. But I know she's in a good place, and they're taking care of her. I know she's safe and clean."

"My dad is in Church Home LifeSpring Rehabilitation & Healthcare for rehab. It's clean. The employees care. Overall it's probably the best one I've ever been in. Very well-organized and very clean. He's in a semi-private room, and the furniture is all fairly new. Overall, it's a nice place as far as nursing homes go. The staff is very good. They're very attentive to the patient. They take good care of them. The food looks good, and they give you a couple of choices for each meal so your loved one can pick what they want to eat, but everything looked pretty good and smelled good. The dining area is pretty spacious and clean. They got it pretty well locked down. So it's secure. It is expensive."

"My dad was at Kingsford of Warner Robins for two years. It was outstanding, very well maintained, well managed, very roomy, and very comfortable. It was top value for the dollar. My dad didn't partake in any of activities, but they had Uno, card games, bingo, and horse racing games. They loved it. As far as the quality and freshness of the food, it was very high. I know the manager personally did all the shopping, and I never saw any problems. I would give the staff a very high star rating because they're very well trained and very disciplined. The management maintained strong accountability particularly when it comes to medication management and notifying the family members if there was any irregularity. They were very trustworthy and worked with the relatives very well."

"My husband is now at The Phoenix at Lake Joy. There's a couple of things they have no control over. For instance, the way the building was constructed and the setup of the rooms. I would have designed it differently, but that's not their fault. We had a rocky start. But in all fairness to everybody, this was new for me, and my husband was new to them. When he went into memory care, he had a hard time, and he was more confused. But they worked with me, and I worked with them. We teamed up together. They've all gotten to know my husband. They've learned a few things; I've learned a few things. As of today, he's doing really well. We got medication straightened out and they were helpful with that. They listen to me and I listen to them. Overall, I'm pretty much pleased with them. There was nobody that wasn't willing to talk to me about anything, and I liked that. From the person who is, the boss, all the way down to the CNAs and the people that work the hall, everybody was open and everybody listened. I think my husband is doing better because they listen to me about some of his glitches. We've learned together that the best thing to do, unless he's in harm's way or somebody else is, just say, "Okay, no problem," and move on and then come back later. And that strategy has been working very well. The staff members on the floor that I deal with face to face every day are truly dedicated. They've done their job as best they can. They allow me to use sitters because my husband was having such a hard time. I put some sitters with my husband to help him transition, because he was used to having me with him all the time. I was not expecting their staff to be able to sit in the room and be with him because they had other people. They were very open to that and allowed that, and so I kept sitters in there until I was comfortable that he had transitioned enough that he wasn't putting them or anybody else at risk. The facility is within four minutes of my home, and so I can be there. I also like the fact that I have 24/7 access. I probably get there at 6:30 after my husband has had dinner, and I spend at least two or three hours with him in the evening. I can stay as late as I want. I usually leave around 10:00 at the latest, and if I wanted to, I could spend the night."

"My mom was at Autumn Terrace. It seemed very nice. It was very homey. The food seemed nice. However, there were not a whole lot of people to look after my mother where she was. The place was very clean. In terms of amenities, they did the laundry, my mom can get her hair done, and they had Bible study. My mother had only been there for two days. There were only 15 people there, and there was only one person on staff. My mom did have things in her room to ring if she needed help, i.e., in the bedroom or in the bathroom. "

"My mother was here for about a year and a a half. She died in Pine Hill Nursing Center in December. When we first checked her in, it did not seem that bad. After all, it was our ONLY choice. She suffered from dementia & early onset Alzheimer’s. First, the place was constantly changing administrators and staff. Should have been my first red flag. Mrs. Teresa & Meagan were the last ones that were worth a crap! They actually returned my phone calls and eased my pain when I would call with questions or just to check on my mother. There was a few instances that stuck out to me…. One, My mother fell in the shower and I was not notified until I could make the trip to visit (2 Hours) the following week. Two, She was not given the proper meds all the time & when asked why they gave me some bullcrap excuse. 3rd, She actually seemed VERY happy and was THRIVING compared to her life at home before and then she became Incontinent, ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. which from what I was told by her physicians here- was a HUGE red flag. FOURTH, She was punched in the face by another female resident, I was notified but nothing was done and the aggressor stayed and was not removed or anything from the facility. My mother LOVED the kitchen Staff and a few others that had a nickname for her. LASTLY, AND I PUT THIS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE SOMEONE NEEDS TO KNOW THIS- MY MOTHER DIED IN HER “SLEEP” ON DECEMBER 5TH, 2018. I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM A MALE NURSE THAT WENT LIKE THIS “MAY I SPEAK WITH *******, THIS IS SHE, MRS. *****, YOUR MOTHER HAS DIED. WHEN CAN YOU ARRANGE FOR HER AND HER BELONGINGS TO BE PICKED UP?” Not one singe ounce of compassion or an “I’m sorry to have to tell you this” or anything!??!?!?! how unprofessional and insensitive. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THEY CANNOT PROVIDE THE CARE NEEDED DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS, STAFF, AND PROPER TRAINING. If you have a loved one looking for an assisted living/nursing home STEER very clear of this one!!!!!!! My mother was diagnosed with dementia exactly 3 months before she went here and died a little over a year later. Granted she had been dealing with some form of the disease for about a year most likely. PLEASE, I am telling you the truth. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!"
