I toured The Mansions at Gwinnett Park for my aunt. I went in as far as I could see, and then he took me on a virtual tour with the camera. The tour was great, and they did the best that they could. They took a camera, and I watched the guy who helped me go around and showed me the room, talked to the camera and showed me everything. It was the best that we could do under the condition. The staff was very nice and great. The Mansions was beautiful, very open, and airy. The rooms were large. The people were fantastic and very welcoming. The place was very clean and neat looking.

I visited this facility
The Mansions at Gwinnett Park was brand new and beautiful. When we toured the first time, no residents live there yet, but they've got their licensing now, and the people are now moving in. Their workers were really nice. They had an indoor pool on the property. They had a mixture of independent living and assisted living, and they had a lot of living room areas throughout, a very nice dining room, and areas where you can walk and sit outside. The executive director was great.

I visited The Mansions at Gwinnett Park Assisted Living and Memory Care and it was amazing. I love it a lot. They put me in a conference room, and we talked for a long time, and then, one of the guys there actually put his phone on a selfie stick. Of course, they couldn't let me go in the area where the residents are, so he went and gave me a total tour of the entire place and I was just very impressed. They had different care levels in different buildings like a complex. There is an independent living building, an assisted living, and there is also a total dementia portion of it as well, but I was looking at it through the lens of a camera of a phone.
The rooms were fine for what a memory care person would need. The staff was very knowledgeable, very cordial, and very protective of their residents. We sat on a long table, at least 10 feet apart, and there were just two of them, then the activities director got on the phone and said hello to me and kind of gave me an overview of some of the things they try to keep them busy with. They have an exercise class, and they have a beauty shop, which is now closed, but they will open it back up after Covid. They just waltzed me through some of the things that they have. They work to help them be stimulated and to take care of them. I was just impressed.
They gave me a lot of literature. Somebody wrote a book about his experiences with his wife, and it is just some reference to give you some insight on someone who has personally been through all of this. They gave me a bunch of information and explained all the charges, how they do everything, and visitation. Of course, it's different now than it would normally be. As a rule, you can come and visit anytime during the day, and if you need to come at night you can call them, and they will come and aid you as well. I was overall impressed.
It's relatively new, clean and well-kept. They have a groundskeeper. I love it that the memory care building has a dog in the lobby, you can come down and pet the dog, and my mother loves dogs. They won't let visitors go where the residents are. The memory care floor had two dining areas, so they don't have to venture too far from their rooms because it's kind of a long building. They can go to either of the dining area, so they are not overcrowded in there. They still have more phases that they're building. They just have a portion of it open, so I feel pretty confident that when we need to get my mother a place, they hopefully will have an opening for her.
I love the people there and I love the place. The lady has followed up with some seminars that they have that she thought would be helpful, and she invited me to come. I was just very impressed. They had a little courtyard that they can go outside without wandering between the buildings. I enjoyed the visit. I could not go to the living area, but I saw some of the residents as the staff was walking the hallway. It was a good setup, and they had a really good procedure for tours during this time with the Covid.

I went to The Mansions at Gwinnett Park. I was in the lobby, and the director went through the facility with a camera, so I could ask questions as he was going through. I just saw the memory care. I did not see the assisted living part. They're very creative, and they've trained the staff to pick up on all sorts of cues and clues, and deal with things. I thought they're very knowledgeable, and in the facility itself, they have these wonderful murals on the doors, so the people don't try to go out the doors; it's just beautiful. The facade was brand new and clean, and had decent architecture.

The Mansions at Gwinnett Park is a beautiful location. They seem to really care about their residents. The place is sort of a square, so the residents can't completely get lost. They have a beautiful courtyard at the center of the memory care. The rooms are really nice. I really like the place. However, it is not a good fit for my mom because they don't seem to have enough staff members onsite to care for someone with her needs. She has a lot of requirements, and there aren't a lot of staff members just wandering around. There are only one or two people in memory care and they have 50 rooms, so I don't feel like it is a good fit for her.

Our residents are great group of seniors from all walks of life. We have public service members, professors, business people and farmers. Our average age is 80 years old. Our residents enjoy live music, happy hour, spending time with friends and family. We keep a full calendar of events.

We offer exercise programs two times per day that are lead by an exercise physiologist. We also offer in house rehab services for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and/or Speech Therapy.

The Gwinnett Stripers stadium is next door to us. We are also excited about Top Golf coming soon. There is a grocery store next door as well.

We provide transportation to local appointments and trips to local churches on Sunday.

Our Chef is phenomenal! He has a true heart for our residents and enjoys putting a smile on everyone's face. Our residents enjoy restaurant style dining in our beautiful dining room. Residents can choose the daily special or they may choose something from the always available menu.

All of our restrooms and bedrooms have pull chords for our call alert system. Residents also wear a pendant that will activate the call alert system. All exterior doors are key card activated and our concierge monitors the front door.
