I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

An elderly relative stayed at Hampton House while I was traveling out of the country in 2018. I took him to visit initially and we both were impressed with the administrative staff and the caretakers. After he moved in they took extra care to make him feel at home. He was happy with the food served and the care given. Unfortunately he passed away a month later. Some of the staff even attended this funeral. It’s nothing fancy but if you like a casual, comfortable atmosphere where you’re treated like family, this is the place.

I visited this facility

I was immediately turned off when I went to the Hampton House. The residents were just sitting there, sleeping, and I only saw one aide. They didn't really have any activities. It's an old building that they added on to. They had small bedrooms with a bath.

About The Hampton House in Colbert, Georgia

The Hampton House is nestled in the curve of a quiet, small town street in Colbert GA. This historic home, which was built in the early 1900’s, and recently received a total renovation is truly stunning. The Hampton House opened its doors in 2012 and is licensed by the State of Georgia as Personal Care Home. The Hampton House is only 12 miles outside of Athens, GA and is convenient to University of Georgia. The facility director, Dana Moreland states that she has a devoted, caring, compassionate and experienced staff on hand for 24 hour oversight. The staff assists the residents with medication management and activities of daily living. The Hampton House strived to always maintain a family oriented environment. All of the nutritious home cooked meals and snacks are prepared in its on-site full-service kitchen.
