I toured Atria North Point. What I liked the least was that it was really big, maybe too big. It's kind of funny because I guess the other facility was probably as big. It felt a little bit more like a nice hotel with long hallways, which I think could get confusing if you're wandering around the whole facility, because the hallways all look alike. I think that their location to a local amp music venue, an amphitheater, I think it would probably be a drawback. I don't think that a lot of the residents there would like to listen to the music that's being played at that amphitheater because it's not their demographic. The residents would not be in the demographic of the musical artists that play there. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. Two things that I saw there that I didn't see anywhere, I saw a really nice library. It was stocked with a lot of books and also a reader for people that had seeing issues. It would blow up something that would lay flat on a table and you could see on the screen what you zoomed in on, which would be something useful for my dad. And they had an indoor pool instead of outdoor pools, so I thought that was really nice if you want to do something in the middle of the winter down here in Georgia. I thought that was good. I really didn't care for their floor plans. I was looking more for a two-room kind of facility, one for the bedroom and one for a little living room, and they didn't have a lot of that. They didn't have a lot in that respect. It was more one big room, studios.

My mom is at Atria North Point. I like its safety. I like the staff. My mom feels comfortable. I like the fact that they are aware and look in on my mom every day. Safety and security are the best. The food is not their best aspect right now, but it has been better. They keep the outside looking beautiful. The inside is clean. They always have pretty flowers around. The housekeeping staff is wonderful. They have a large variety of activities. There's jewelry making, other crafts, music, games, technology classes, and history classes. They have a bus that goes places. Once a week they go out to a restaurant if they want. They do a pretty good job of the activities, providing a lot of variety for all the different things that people might enjoy.

The staff are exceptional, caring and kind. They truly love their jobs. There is a wide range of activities and ways for residents to get involved. We are very pleased with our choice of Atria for my mom.

Atria North Point is one of the places I'm interested in for my brother. I liked how friendly the staff is, the cleanliness of the place, and the room where my brother would be staying. It's a square room, but this was a studio. And it was very big, it had I think, a queen bed or double in there already. It had plenty of room and then it had a little refrigerator because if you're getting all your food from there, you didn't need anything big. But it was not college size, so it was a little bigger than that. Nice cabinets where you could reach them, my brother having a stroke, and balance and things, it wouldn't be difficult for him to reach up in the cabinets if he had something up there that he wanted to snack on or what have you. And it was a very big bathroom. The way the floor plan was, it had a lot of room. The closet wasn't that big. The whole area was pretty where my brother would be able to bring his bed, or his TV and put that on the wall, his chest or drawer, and like a table that could go up against a wall. He can bring that in and maybe two chairs or something, and it still wouldn't be cluttered. I know they had lots of activities, and they can have snacks whenever they want, like, if they wanted ice cream.

My 90 years old mom was moved into Atria North Point assistant living in early May of 2022. Early July she was sent to Emergency Room due to the foodborne from Atria assistant living dinning occurred during the end of June. Unfortunately, she could not recover from that foodborne and has moved to the nursing home facility. I have requested a refund for prepared level of care. The executive director agreed to process it in August and no action was not taken until late October. After several communications, they processed request and received refund check. However, Atria’s Corp check was bounced in Mid-November and the replacement check has not received by the end of year 2022.

When we realized it was time to move my dad to a place where he'd get better care, it was extremely stressful. After touring seven facilities, I walked into Atria North Point expecting another disappointment. What I found, instead, was a beautiful facility, kind and patient staff, and residents who seemed to exude joy. After touring the independent, assisted, and memory care areas, we knew this was the place for dad. Emily, the sales director, was SO incredible; she helped us navigate the process step by step, and it was clear she genuinely cares for the residents around her. Dad's been there for a few weeks now and is really enjoying the change. Seeing him happy and engaging in something other than watching TV all day (he went to an art class and painted a picture!) wasn't something I'd ever see again. Thank you, Atria NP!
