The rooms are satisfactory in assisted living. Majority of the staff are helpful but English isn’t first language for most and difficult to understand. Hot showers (key word hot non existing) and mediocre at best. House keeping is just a quick sweep in and out. No cleaning of ceiling fans, vents, under anything or real dusting. As for food I assume they have a nutritionalist but unfortunately not always what food is listed is available

Westminster Winter Park was a great place, but it's hard to get in there. It's hard to get openings, and it's expensive. It's a buy-in place. I'm just looking for independent living, but they also have assisted living there. The staff that I met was very cordial. They're interacting with the residents as they go through. The rooms were very nice. One thing I liked about Westminster is they're in the process of getting rid of carpet. They have good-sized closets. The dining area was set up like a restaurant and it's big. The grounds were nice, but there's not much ground because it's mostly buildings. Part of the facility is on the lake, so you can go down to the dock on the lake. They had dancing and some other activities. They were teaching people how to ballroom dance the time I was there. They have a gym and they have some medical people on site, they have a barber shop, a hairdresser, and some little stores. They have about everything that you would need. You don't have to go outside much if you don't want to. They also have transportation for shopping and things like that, several days a week. They take people out on the bus.

My mom had a knee replacement, and she went for a two-week rehab at Winter Park Towers. Those people were amazing. I would recommend their rehab to anyone. The staff was wonderful in the rehab part. She said the food was pretty good there, too. She went to the little cafeteria in there, and she said the staff was so nice and so accommodating. I was also able to visit them when I signed up for a luncheon to see the whole place. I got to see a full home, an apartment condo, and the assisted living inside, which were all really, really nice. They also showed me the dining area where they can do activities and eat. The food was very good. I was actually able to tour both the apartment-living and the individual-homes area. It's a huge property. The rooms were wonderful. A lady in assisted living opened up her apartment for us, and it was beautiful. She had a huge bedroom area. I think she got two apartments and converted it into one. It was nice. It has a small kitchen, a beautiful living-room area, and a gorgeous view of the lake. For an assisted living facility, it was really nice.

Winter Park Towers (Westminster Winter Park) was very nice. The apartments and the dining rooms were nice. They had a rehab, an Alzheimer's unit, and homes. They had activities and transportation. It had everything that one needs.

Best decision: moving to Westminster Winter Park five years ago. My husband & I live in a beautiful apartment with a balcony overlooking the garden. We are now in our mid-80s, & down-sizing was exactly what we needed to do. The most delighted? Our family. In this wonderful community of dignity, friendliness, & endless choices of activities, we thrive, knowing we are only an elevator ride away from the lake, 5-star nursing care, rehab, a great gym, happy celebrations & the bus to church. Thank you!

My husband and I moved here seven years ago and are still thrilled with our decision! I am amazed that, while in my seventies, I learned new skills. I learned how to lead hundreds of residents as president of the Residents' Council. I learned how to give speeches in front of a crowd. I learned how to start my own playreaders group. I'm still learning new things every day. I'm now 81 and feel 50! Westminster Winter Park has provided a way of life for me that keeps me young, energized and happy. Moving here has been the best present we could have ever given our adult children. They are so comforted to see us so happy and fulfilled.
