My mother has been a resident of Green Gables for the past couple years. I like that there's only a dozen or so residents at a time in a home environment, as opposed to a hospital look and feel. The staff is caring and professional, and appears to work well with their clients. Mr. Alfredo Havarria deserves a special mention. He's a wonderful person who has always been courteous when I have the chance to speak with him. Please convey to all of the staff at Green Gables, our gratitude for the care and kindness they show my mother. God Bless you all.

Green Gables is very good and smells like a home. When you first walk in, there's the sitting room where the people sit. There's a kitchen area where the food is served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The layout is very simple. There is a solarium out in the back. All is very clean and nice. They have a hairdresser in the place and a few activities every day. The people who own it are a young, caring couple. We get calls from them all the time, and they let us know how my mother-in-law is doing. The people who work there follow instructions and pay attention to the folks staying there. They have private rooms and semi-privates. My mother-in-law is now in a semi-private with plenty of room.

I had my mother there for years. I know the industry well and would like to say Green Gables is a very good ALF. It has a home like environment, kind and friendly staff. Everyone cares a lot about the care and well being of the residents. They did a really good job making sure my mother was treated well, was safe and enjoyed her golden years. Thank you

They tell you what you want to hear to get your loved one onto the facility and then don't follow through. They do not have any activities for the residents and prefer to over-medicate to keep them sit ting in chaos all day. Very disappointing.

We put my mom in Green Gables, which is a very small assisted living facility. It is more like a home environment. There are only 20 residents and no chandeliers or anything fancy, but they keep her very safe from falling, which is my main concern. It is not just for Alzheimer’s; they are all different types of elderly. They are very caring, very attentive, and know the needs of each patient on a 24-hour level. It is owned by a family for generations, and they have given my mom excellent care. The staff gets to learn what activities of daily living need to be supervised and when they need to be supervised, so they gear their care plan to identify exactly what the residents need, and they follow through. It is all-inclusive; they are taking care of medications, diapers, and everything that my dad no longer has to take care of. They do have social activities like people coming and singing and playing music, card games and art activities going on, and the dining room also serves as their activity center. When residents need particular safety issues, there are monitors on them to let them know when they are moving in bed, from their wheelchair, and a chair. They have very good personal care. There is no smell in the facility, the residents are kept very clean, and they pay very good attention to their personal and health needs.
