I visited this facility

The Watermark at Trinity is where I would want my mom to stay. It's a 5-star across the board. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the rooms for a person because it was more like a hotel. They're very clean. They had a fine dining area like a five-star hotel. They had security for the memory unit. It didn't feel like a nursing home setting. The person who showed me and gave me information was just phenomenal. She knew exactly what she was doing and how to interact with the person that was interested. I checked their dining area, but I didn't try their food. They did go over the type of food that they had. They have a menu. They don't give one thing out and say you have to eat it. It was like fine dining. They could choose what they wanted to eat.

I visited this facility

I toured The Watermark at Trinity. It was a very nice facility. They showed us the apartments and everything. It was very professional. It was a very first class facility. It is only two years old, so it's very modern, but it's on the expensive side. There was a swimming pool designed for seniors. It had a beauty shop, an exercise center, and was pet friendly. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very informative, very friendly, and very helpful. We had complimentary lunch there, and it was very good. The interior design of the dining area was first class. Overall, everything was very nice.

Provider Response

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother has been in this community for 9 months. To say that the quality of the community’ has declined is a gross understatement. Let me list a few things that have deteriorated: FOOD quality; staffing; activities, employees leaving in droves! The 2 most important things that make a successful community are food and activities. These are void and unacceptable. My mother gave up her home to come to Watermark and I feel like she is being treated like a prisoner. The director is unresponsive and not addressing the needs of this community. For $3100 a month this place should be a palace and the residents should be treated like royalty. I am fearful to leave this review for fear of retribution to my mom but need these words to be read and acted upon! This community needed help and someone at the top needs to assess the situation. The people in this community need to be heard and feel valuable!! I will continue to leave negative reviews until things change. This review is not worthy of even 1 star but in order to leave this review I had to pick 1 star. Awful.

Provider Response

I visited this facility

We will move into The Watermark at Trinity. It was almost brand-new, clean as a whistle. The staff was very, very nice. Both my partner and I use walkers at the present and Rita, was very compassionate, showed us all we needed to see, but at our speed, and they explained everything the first time we met. And then when we went back in to sign the paperwork and get more paperwork, she was equally as helpful. She let us look again at the exact apartment we're getting so we would have an indication. The layout makes sense. It's all centered out from the lobby, there are elevators to each end of the hallways, and getting out to the pool was easy. They're on ten acres. They have a swimming pool. If you have a walker or wheelchair, you have that entrance into the pool. They have a theater. They have an arts and crafts room. They have all kinds of activities like they had just come back from the Hard Rock Casino. They go shopping. We happened to drive, so that wasn't so important.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am a current resident preparing to move out. Watermark has failed to live up to its promises with respect to food quality, food service, cleanliness of interior and exterior spaces, and maintenances of buildings and grounds. Way too expensive for level and quality of services provided. Brokenhearted because it looked so promising.

The people at The Watermark at Trinity were very engaging. I liked the facility, and I also liked that the bathroom was open and very safe. The meals are provided, nurses, PT, OT, speech therapy, and the activities all the time. They have group activities as they take them on trips, they also have a theater, movie nights, and whatever kind of activity you want. It's kind of pricey, but the staff was very open and answered all our questions. I felt good.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm at The Watermark at Trinity independent living, which is at 1900. The original building which is now for the assisted living is 1960. We have separate offices. We don't live under the same roof. It's brand new, and the location was good for me. I like the idea of having separate independent and assisted living as opposed to a combination of both, like where I lived before. Where I was before, we were all mixed up together. We are completely separate here. The activities and everything are easier to do when you have similar health conditions, ages, interests, and all that kind of thing. People are about the same as we are. I have a very nice apartment. I got one of the smaller ones, but it's very adequate in size. It's got a bedroom, living room, full kitchen, bathroom, and I have a balcony. I'm on the fifth floor, which overlooks a beautiful pool and overlooks the whole eastern sky, so to speak. I watch the sunrise every morning, if it's not raining. It's just a very, very attractive place. The dining area is very nice. They have one dining room, plus another room about the same size. Most of the tables are for four. You just go and sit where you want to. Sometimes, some tables have couples that sit there because we have quite a few married couples. Sometimes they had three or four ladies that sit together the same time every day. It's very comfortable. They have a lounge, a pool table, a nice fitness center, and all kinds of crafts and activities. There's plenty to do all the time. About three times a week, they have an ice cream treat in the middle of the afternoon or a special dessert on Sundays. We just relax, sit, and talk for a little while if we want to. They have the bus that takes us to grocery stores on Monday and several other local stores on Fridays. We have a movie theater and a crafts room. We're having a townhall meeting this afternoon at 3:00 PM. Once a month, the residents get together. Anybody that wants to go and just have a meeting to discuss whatever we want to discuss concerning the administration, program, and food. Management is there, and they just ask questions and talk about anything going on. We have entertainment about once a week (either a singer or a piano player) in the afternoon. They're absolutely very caring and loving people. There's a good variety of food. We have an artist who comes in about once a week, and the ones who sign up can paint. He helps them learn how to paint pictures. He draws one and then he shows them how to go about doing it. We can keep busy all the time if we want to. Value for money is excellent compared to the other places that I had looked at.

This review is for the Independent Living apartments, not to be confused with Assisted Living. The set up is very much like a nice hotel, with a restaurant, activities, pool, gym, etc. Lunch is available at the Grab and Go and the restaurant serves full meals in the evening. Every apartment has a full kitchen with full size, full feature appliances. Each apartment also has a washer and dryer. There are multiple floor plans with up to three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Some apartments have balconies and bonus rooms. The features that some reviewers have said are missing on other review sites, are listing things that are more commonly available in assisted living. This Independent Living situation is for singles and couples that are able to manage on their own and want an apartment, not a medical facility. Cleaning services are offered every two weeks. A couple of medical groups are affiliated and make visits on site by appointment. The building is immaculate and the staff is friendly. I'm told that the food is very good. The monthly rent includes a dollar allowance that can be used for meals, including meals for guests, at the bar, or for special excursions. The costs for living in either building are paid by the resident, not medicare or medicaid, as I've seen mentioned before. If you can afford it, this is a good choice.

From the moment I visited Watermark, I knew this was a place for my Mother to live. Clean, up to date, nice private rooms, and beautiful facility. The Staff are phenomenal. From personal care, to activities, to dining, I cannot say enough positive comments about them.

I visited this facility

I was very impressed with The Watermark at Trinity. It's a brand new facility. They had a nice dining area, a breakfast place, a bar area, and they had an assisted living place as well. There's no nursing home and there's no rehab center though. It was very clean and very well-appointed. The staff, Jennifer, is excellent. She's very nice, very professional, very informative, and she did a good job. She showed me several apartments. They had 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms, but we were interested in a 3-bedroom. I looked at a lot of them, and they were all very nice. She told me that they have bus trips for the seniors, events, social happy hours, cocktail hours, and that kind of thing. There was a beauty salon, a place for both men and women to both get a haircut. There was no library. I wanted a place where you could go on a computer, so if the residents don't own a computer or have trouble with their computer, there's somewhere they can go if they need to go online to do some kind of work or something. It would be of benefit to have a library and a computer room. There were some things lacking, e.g., a nursing home, a rehab and a computer room. The staff spent a lot of time with me, and she was very good. She introduced me to the chef who described some of the dishes, and they sounded very delicious. The structure was very nice, but there could have been more room in the bar area. If you have several people during cocktail hour, I don't know if there would be enough room for everybody to sit down. They also had a very nice fitness center.

The Watermark at Trinity assisted living is very nice and it's a new building. The person who gave us the tour was very eloquent and versed in whatever she had to say about the facility. We just thought it was too expensive. There were a lot of things offered there like a gym, swimming pool, and entertainment. They also offer two meals a day.

The best--by far-- of the several facilities that we looked at . Staff is excellent and goes out of their way to provide care and friendship to all seniors. Facility is new and maintained perfectly with never a bad word. Truly a family affair.Jennifer and staff perform above and beyond the call of duty to provide for residents care and comfort. Could not ask for anything more in a situation that takes special feelings to provide.
