I was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, April 1,2023 AND TRANSFERRED TO ROYAL OAKS REHABILLITATION CENTER ON Monday April 3rd pm. I arrived at 10pm. the nurse told me "She didn't have my pain prescription it may arrive sometime tomorrow ...i was in bad pain. I laid there from 10pm till8am literally crying. I was informed later she could have gotten approval for Tylenol at least. My goodness very scary place my roommate asked to go to the toilet and their response was "just go in the bed and we'll clean it up later." One male cna left me on the toilet where i almost fell again, he returned. and said, "sorry i wasn't with you". Then the last night April 4th they left me on the bed pan for at least 15 minutes. As we were leaving Wednesday April 05,2023, for my follow up appointment with the surgeon, the PT nurse said in checking my file i was supposed to be receiving 7.5% but they had giving me 5% dose of pain medicine. Then the administrator came to my room and begged us to return after the appointment. My husband took me home to recover after my appointment. The only pt I received was put in wheelchair and toured the facility. If I could give a negative star rating i would.

My dad is at Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center, and they are excellent. They have excellent care. When you walk in, you don't smell anything. The aides and nurses are very caring and attentive. They are smiling and happy. When I go and see my dad, I speak to the residents, and they're all happy, very content, and don't have any complaints. If you have clothes there that they wash, you have to mark the clothes yourself. Otherwise, they don't know where they belong. The rehab is fantastic, and the long-term side is also very well organized. They can eat in the dining room. They take them in early to socialize. It is a beautiful facility, and it's locked. So an alarm goes off if the door gets opened. They do different activities there, so it's just a nice place. They have ice creams every night, too. The food is good.

My boyfriend went for Rehab after a back surgery. Nurses were very good with him, but their hands are tied as to meds only as doctor orders. Well that is statement I'm very upset over. Al is a diabetic and stage 3 kidney disease. Everytime they checked his sugar he was 200 to 400. They were not giving him the dosage they should have. His feet were so swollen he couldn't even get his shoes on for therapy. He was urinating all over himself and had no control of his bladder. He had only two shower in the 11 days he was there, because of the boil water incident we had in Titusville, they could have made up for it afterwards, but did not. I told them he was checking out on Friday and the doctor, PT guy and social worker recommended that he did not, they told me they were afraid he was going to end up in the hospital. I thought to my self that if he stays there he would end up in hospital or on kidney dialysis or eventually dead, he signed himself out they would not give him his meds they were giving him or set up his in home care. Honestly I would not recommend this place to anyone, I wouldn't even bring my dead father there.

This is a beautiful facility with a lovely garden out back. Good ice cream every day. Excellent Rehab dept. Erica got me walking quickly. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Not good most of time. CNA's very nice and answered lights fairly quickly. Generally good experience. Rooms are nice and clean and smple size. Just wish they had headphones for TV's. No activities.

My family member is at the Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab, in the Rehab section. She was admitted for Physical Therapy/Occupational therapy after having neck surgery. She was admitted to the ER with paraparesis in both legs. The next day surgery scheduled. After 8 days of failed rehab in the hospital she was recommended for additional therapy. Due to limited beds and absolutely no other choice she agreed to go an hour away to this facility. She arrived at @6:30pm on Jan 9, 2021. She was placed in a room and abandoned for almost 4 hrs. She attempted numerous times to contact a nurse or aide to perform a basic human right. I get help to go to the toilet. This is admit day. They failed to due the OSHA basics and that is to do a physical assessment of the patient. This is TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE! The dayshift of the Nursing Homes are usually very Im sorry im busy that day and appropriate, but the night shift tends to have less than professional staffing. The agencies collect Billions of Medicare and Private insurance dollars all we want you to do, is YOUR job. This could one day be you! Where are the Federal or State agencies??? Multiple similar complaints.

They do the bare basics minimum for each patient. If the patient needs something, they can wait as long as two hours for something as simple as water. The staff could not care whether you are doing well or dying. It is the most awful place in Brevard County. Don't go there. Avoid it if you can.
