Red Hills Village Retirement Community was clean, neat, and efficient. Everything was right up to the way it should be. The disadvantage is there's no swimming pool. Everybody was really pleasant. Another thing we didn't like is its buffet style. You have to stand and get it and then they'll bring it to your table rather than having a waiter come to the table. There's a two-bedroom and one-bedroom, and they're very nice, clean, efficient, and had all the amenities. However, it's a long walk from the rooms to an elevator and that's a disadvantage.

I had an in-person tour of Red Hills Village Retirement Community. The physical appearance is very good. The only thing that's kind of daunting is the housing development that's across the street. Just row after row after row of housing across the street. The grounds are very nice. I've been there twice for lunch. The food was very good, and there was a nice variety. The salad bar and the dessert bar are very nice. The staff was very good. I've talked to her several times. She was very helpful. We sat with other people that were housed there, and everyone was very nice. The staff was nice. One guy was working in the cafeteria, and he was especially uplifting. He was walking around and joking with the residents.

Recommendations: New Resident Facility Orientation with a Facility Point Person. Provide a Site Map identifying related Facility Resources and Support Functions. Resident Reference Manual/ Handbook detailing Guidelines and Expectations. DOES and DONT'S.

Seems as though the facility management has taken somewhat of a nosedive these past 6-9 months. There just seems to be some sort of service outage or something broken...specifically: 1) frequent phone and/or internet outages 2) plumbing leeks 3) trouble getting on-site facility handyman help

This is not a care provider facility. It is a RETIREMENT community, although many people living here need care. People should be screened more thoroughly and discouraged to moved here if they need help. This is for retired people who want to enjoy the rest of their life. Food was excellent until a few months ago before Covid took over our lives. I guess it is a little more reasonable than others. I highly recommend Red Hills for retired people.

We are very happy with Red Hills. They provide a beautiful place that’s homey and inviting. Lots of activity choices on most days, movies, and great amenities. Love that residents have a kitchen & their own laundry machines. Very highly recommend!

Red Hills Village Retirement Resort was beautiful. I remember, I was having trouble with my knees and this lady from the staff came over with a wheelchair. The place was clean and lovely. The rooms I saw were very nice. They have a full kitchen and I thought their studio apartment was very spacious.

I have been here in Red Hills Village for several months now. The whole place is independent living. It has been good. The food is certainly edible, but it's so-so. The apartment is small but nice. They have a lot of facilities, but because of COVID they're closed down. Apparently you can get sandwiches, pizza, burgers, and snacks at any time of the day, but that part had to be closed, too. They got a really nice gym, but they can only have two people at the same time. My other problem is that I got a dog, and anytime I walk out the door he starts barking. He is a big dog, he is a lab, and he makes a lot of noise. He makes too much of a nuisance out of himself, so I'm trying to get him acclimated to this place. Everybody that I have spoken to really loves Red Hills Village. The people that are here are really happy with this place. They really like it. I think that's a pretty good indicator of how it works. I used to live right out of the edge of the county, and I had about a 25-minute commute to work, but now I got maybe a 12- to 15-minute commute. I'm a bit closer, but there's more traffic. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints. I got all kinds of services within about three miles. They have a lot of activities. They have a library and a very nice gym. There's a big area for billiards up on the third floor. I haven't seen it yet. Apparently, it's open. The other thing that I really like is they have a full kitchen, i.e., a stove, a dishwasher, a full size refrigerator, a microwave, and nice granite countertops in the kitchen. It's very nice. I went to four places before I chose this one. It's a little bit more money but I can afford it. So far, I'm happy. The staff is excellent. They're very nice. The facilities are very nice.

I visited Red Hills Village Retirement Community. It's a newer facility, and it's a place built for older people to live in. The rooms were clean. I did not see any real problems. It's all very nice. The dining area was like a nice restaurant. It was very clean and had nice facilities. They had areas where they could go have haircuts and women could have their hair done nicely. I thought it would be a nice place to be if I decided to go.

We went to Red Hills Village Retirement Community. It was the fanciest and the newest of all the places we visited. It was very modern and updated. The apartments were beautiful, big, nice, had full kitchens, and were expensive. The staff member was fine; very nice, but new to the facility. There were several things she didn't really know about and that she had to check on. We dined there. They have buffet style food for all their meals, and I didn't care for that too much.
