HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens was very clean and the staff was attentive. Each floor had an activity center, painting classes, and morning exercise classes for all levels. The staff was pleasant and attentive.

Can't say enough about this place. My mom spent 6 months at HarborChase, where the staff became her 2nd family. The transition from home care to assisted living is never easy, especially when your family all live out-of-state, but from the moment we visited, we could tell this was the right place. Tammy, the Director of Sales, showed us around, understanding my mom's apprehension, she could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Mom immediately knew this was the place for her. Tammy connected us with the proper people to assist in furnishing her new apartment and moving her belongings in. From there, Susan, Director of Resident Care, took over, helping setup all of my mom's medical needs, from medication to OT/PT to doctor visits. Kevin, the Executive Director, could not have been more helpful and understanding of our needs. Whenever an issue arose, Kevin was there to personally deal with the problem. From wheeling my mom down to her meals to assembling her new walker and teaching her how to use it (on a Sunday no less), he could not have been more hands on and caring of his residents. In my mom's final days, Susan and her staff were always available. As we shifted my mom over to hospice care, Susan ensured my mom could stay in her apartment and was as comfortable as possible. While the facility is beautiful, the staff was exceptional. I knew my mom spent her final days in a loving and caring environment.

HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens is a beautiful place. However, I had some difficulty finding a place to park. But it's a beautiful place. They're very friendly. Another thing and this is a plus for them, of all the places I looked at, the programs they had for the seniors I thought were excellent, and not that the others were bad, but these were better. Among the plans or the programs they had for them, they would have discussion lectures and they had one scheduled for the history of aviation. Although these wouldn't suit everybody, a lot of them would intellectually love to be able to get involved or be able to express their opinions or learn about things like this. I was impressed with that. The person who accommodated me during the tour was very good. They were very nice. I can't say anything bad. They had excellent people.

The memory care portion of Harbor Chase is awful. My brother's room was dark and dirty. My feet stuck to the floor when walking in the elevator and in the hallways. Although the medical director was very kind and helpful, the rest of the staff doesn't appear to care about the residents, doesn't provide medications on time, and doesn't help to do anything but keep them "safe". There is no back up for the medical director when she is out sick. My brother left the memory care floor on his own and got all the way outside to be escorted back in by police. Staff on the memory care floor didn't report this to management and stated they didn't know anything about him leaving. Management is slow to respond, if they respond at all, and lie if given the opportunity. Necessary information was not shared including when the 24/7 outside aides did not show up. My brother was there for three weeks and that was three weeks too long. I have moved him to another facility.

My mom was a past resident of HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens. It looked great initially until we got in there. The memory care was more like a nursing home. The rooms were nice though, but I would not recommend it. No one was allowed in, and it was run like a prison. Their concierge was the worst.

My mother will be moving into HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens. We signed a lease today. We chose them because of the pricing, it's clean, it's fairly new, updated rooms, and they gave us a good move-in incentive. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, and extremely efficient. I would recommend them. It's a very good location. It's near Palm Beach Gardens Mall and Palm Beach Gardens Hospital.
