One of the receptionists was very rude. Nursing staff hard to get a hold of. One nurse said she was too busy to talk to or to get the patient to the phone. Left messages and never got a response. Sometimes the phone would keep ringing, and no one would answer. Had to get Executive Administrator's cell phone number to get results. Had to facilitate to get the patient discharged. Felt like they wanted to keep the patient as long as possible. When discharged sent patient home with just under garments no daytime clothing. Had to contact Executive Administrator to have them delivered. Was told the patient was able to walk 20 steps when all they needed to do was to be able to transfer from wheelchair. Accessor from ALF was told the patient couldn't stand. The patient needed help to the bathroom no one came, so the patient went on their own and fell. Was sent to ER for stitches. Accessor was told the patient would be discharged on that Friday, but the facility wouldn't discharge until the next Monday. A family member visited the patient, and the patient was filthy. They were told by the facility the reason was the patient had covid. That is the only reason why that facility was chosen. The family and only one other choice, and it was many miles away.

The rooms are small and not clean. Food is terrible. There was one good CNA.

Don't go here. My 89 year old Mother was taken out of Florida Hospital and sent to this facility. At 8 pm she had no sheets or blankets on her bed. The nurse was horrible to her. There were dried feces all over the toilet and she was in a room with four other people. The nurse tried to pull her and hurt her arm. Mom said that there was a woman crying for help down the hall who was being ignored. The other women in her room were begging me to call someone. Horrible!!!!

Needing rehab following surgery? RUN After 2 weeks of major surgery, due to the lack of dedicated wound care - I developed a staphylococcus infection in my 37 lumbar stitches. I was immediately admitted back into the hospital and had to have all stitches reopened and face 6 wks of IV antibiotic. One of the residents needed help at 3am. After staff kept coming in, turning OFF her light and leaving - she laid in her waste until 10am! This is inexcusable! Would you want your relative to be subjected to this “care”? Several nurses do not speak English. Thank you. I’ve always wanted TWO major surgeries within 25 days of each other.

THE FOLD WAS AWFUL! Thank god I had a feeding tube! Some of the CNAs and “nurses” are mean af! Thank god for Marci! The beautiful therapist that fed me when I couldn’t feed myself! Angels do exist!

I was a resident of Avante at Orlando. It needed a lot of improvement, and it was not a good fit for me anymore. The menu never changed the entire time I was there, it was the same menu week after week after week. They offered an alternate menu every day, and they tried to accommodate what they could, but they always overcooked the vegetables until they were mush. The rehab program was mediocre. I didn't do any of the activities they had because they were too limiting. They're for people that are very mentally altered and I'm too high-functioning. Bingo was a biggie there. They have two ministers who come in there and hold church services, and they have a beauty salon onsite. It was overall a mediocre place, but I would go back. It was an old building, and it really needed some upgrades.
