We chose Sweet Water At Largo, and it’s a very nice place. It’s small with just about 40 beds. They have a family atmosphere. The staff is very good, and their food is good as well.

When it came time for my father to transition into an ALF environment, I looked at literally dozens of different facilities. Nothing was looking like it was going to work out, and then I found Sweetwater at Largo. My father was able to get into a private room with his limited income, the furnishings were very clean and nice, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The owner, Mrs. Stoekle was very friendly and made herself available to me any time anywhere, which made a very stressful and traumatic experience for everyone involved much easier to cope with.
It has been a blessing that we were able to locate him an affordable place to reside without having to give up quality of care. I would recommend Sweetwater at Largo and Mrs. Stoekle to anyone who was looking for a place for their loved one.

I had my husband at Sweet Water for a few months, but it just wasn't for him. He needed more attention. The staff was fine; however, my husband needed more attention and more medical help and they couldn't give it to him. The room was fine. He had a single room and it was fine. They took care of it. He never really had a problem. He had a room and a bath and it was fine. They had activities. They had all kinds. Some of them, my husband could do and some of them he couldn’t, but they did have activities there. They played bingo every day. They had a very wonderful lady who really was patient with the bingo and she got them to draw and she got them to color. She was very good and I appreciated that. Overall, it was a temporary placement for my husband. They took care of the patients and they fed them well. The dining room was always clean. It was very nice.

I visited this facility
Sweetwater is a small community. The place is very convenient. They have excellent staff and they're more hands on. The staff is well-dressed, looked professional, and they're all neat and clean. If you're looking for a very small community, that's a nice little community. But we were looking for memory loss, and it's really just assisted living there.

I visited this facility
My parent was placed here in the summer of 2011. Needless to say, when he arrived, he was healthy and happy. During the next 6 months however, his condition deteriorated to a point that I had to get him out and move him to another location. The staff was horrible with him and I am currently seeking legal action against them. Bedsores and falls are not uncommon with the residents there...

When my mother was placed here 2 years ago, the facility was clean and well maintained. That is no longer true. They need a complete overhaul of their paint and cleanliness of the entire facility!
