Water Edge of Lake Wales is a nice facility in a nice setting. The rooms are nice. I have an apartment here, and it's very comfortable. The staff is nice and the meals are good. We have a gym and meeting rooms. We have a library and a computer room. We have a chaplain on duty here. We have a shuffleboard court, croquet, a pool table, and a movie theater. The staff seems to be attentive and they seem to be compassionate.

We live here in Water's Edge of Lake Wales. The community is very nice. The people are friendly, helpful, and professional. We're not leaving here. Anybody interested ought to come take a look. The staff are very helpful and professional. The overall condition of the place is excellent. For activities, there are classes going on all the time, there are bridge club and pinnacle club, and there is some kind of card game. There's a group of us that shoot pool, and there's another group that meets regularly to play mahjong. There's chair aerobics up in the gym. There are fitness machines, and physical therapies available, and there's water aerobics. If you're bored, it's your own fault. The food service has recently come under new management, and it has vastly improved. I just had an excellent meal of garlic red potatoes, corned beef, and sauteed cabbage. Excellent.

Our tour experience with Water Edge of Lake Wales was very good. They explained the place to me very well. I saw a studio apartment with a kitchenette that was unfurnished. So, you have to furnish it. The amenities were great. They had a library, a hobby shop, and the place was very clean. It was like a luxury hotel.

I really liked the Water Edge of Lake Wales. It was nice and open, the people were friendlier than the other place I toured, and the rooms were nice and furnished. They were more apartments than hotel rooms, so my mom could have her own apartment if she were to go there. The only thing is that they have a buy-in, which is a little high price; they want you to put down money for a life lease. We were looking for a place that takes long-term Medicaid, which they don't. It's expensive, but they've got a dining room that's restaurant-type style, and they've got a little menu for the week. I felt really comfortable in that, but in the long run, finance-wise was a big thing. That buy-in thing is what really just made us decide not to do it. The staff who gave the tour was really nice. She took us around everywhere, and described everything, and showed us the room, and her name was Missy, I think. Unfortunately, at that time, we couldn't try the food because it was during COVID, but they usually would give a sample on a tour, but she was trying to get my mom to come the following week, and she was offering a free lunch then. They've got plenty of outdoor spaces, and they have a pool there, and all these activities. I like that they don't seem as regulated. They have free transportation, and they are next to the Dollar Tree or Dollar General, near the banks, and around shopping centers, so my mom could go out and buy food if she wanted.

We like Water Edge of Lake Wales. It has what we want. It has a two-bedroom, independent living, and I can upgrade that if a three-bedroom becomes available and I have priority on getting in their assisted living and memory care. We already know some people there, and they've spoken in very high terms. We met all the staff, and we heard the food is good. It's not five-star quality, but it's still good food, and you don't have to make it. The people were excellent. Everybody we met was very nice. I would rate the facility very high. It looked well kept and well-maintained. The restaurant area looked very clean. It's a sit-down type experience, and the men's restroom was very clean. We toured our villa and somebody just moved out, so it needs some work, but they're gonna re-carpet and paint it for us, and we're negotiating with them on new appliances.

Water Edge of Lake Wales is big. It's considerably more expensive but it seems to have every amenity that you could want. My mom has her own apartment as opposed to a smaller room, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You just couldn't ask for a better place.
