I would like to say that they're taking care of my father . He is always very clean. Most of the time that he rings the bell they come soon to attended him. He doesn't call much. The CNA s are nice to us, although they have about 30 patients to take care of. They work very Hard and always come in with a nice attitude. Therapists are good. Nurses answer what you ask them and say what you tell them. We are nice to staff and likewise.. they clean the room every day. They tell the residents to stay on their wheelchairs so they don't fall. The Lady of social services is very helpful. The nurse manager sees that staff do their work and help them too.the room are semiprivate an some primate. They are clean. Have plenty of chairs for family. I don't know about the activities because my father doesn't go because he sleeps a lot.

This is not a very good place. Call bells are not in a timely manner and if you need pain medicine(Tylenol) you could wait up to 2 to 3 hours. breakfast is the same thing every day, and the nurses do not respond to the call light during the nighttime hours. Most of the nurses are kind but they are always running out of supplies and are short staffed.

My brother was put at The Terrace of Jacksonville for rehab. He is supposed to be on a regular diet, and they kept bringing an engineered diet. His room is just average. When you call for a nurse, sometimes it's an hour and a half before anybody shows up. I came in Tuesday afternoon at 1:00, and he was laying on the floor. A nurse's aide had spilled water all over the floor so when he was getting out of his bed to get to his wheelchair, he slipped. He lay there for over 20 minutes. He had called for a nurse twice. No one came. When I got there, the nurse's station was right outside his room and I told them that he was lying on the floor. Of course, the help then started coming in. They gave me no explanation. They just got him back up into bed and changed his clothes. That was unsatisfactory and the level of care there is just almost nonexistent. I have had trouble communicating with the people and I go over there at least every day. The physical therapy seems to be good though, but other than that, the overall care is a 1 rating at best.

My husband is a resident of The Terrace Of Jacksonville. They cannot keep staff, and right now, they have no one in charge because they keep leaving. They can't keep the help, and they should be paid a whole lot more for what they do. The CNAs, do the grunt work and they do not get paid enough. They have a very good one there that we liked. She took good care of my husband. She'd been there like five years or more, and she just asked for a little bit of a raise. They said no, so she left because she found a better-paying job. But that seems to be the way with a lot of these places, they have a big turnover. The food, I would say it's average. My husband will eat anything, but I haven't tasted it. Sometimes it looks good, sometimes it's mediocre. My husband's room is very small. I've seen some of the other rooms as I was walking in there, and some of them look larger. He can't participate in anything, but I think they do have like bingo, arts and crafts, and things like that for the people that can. They have a creative director or something. The staff, change every day. Every time I go in there, there's somebody new. But the permanent ones are nice and good. The facility always seems pretty clean. In terms of value for money, it's all I can afford. So, I guess we're getting what we pay for. Any other ones that I have looked up are a lot more money. I'm paying full price, I'm not on Medicaid yet, anywhere else was asking up to $5000 a month more. I just wish they could keep the help they need; they need to pay and have more. My biggest complaint, and they say this is coming from the governor, they're saying that they only need two CNAs to take care of several people. They cannot take care of that many. Sometimes, when I go in there, my husband has pooped in his diapers and lunch is coming around, so they've got lunch to do, and they cannot take care of him. So, they say they are complying with the law, that they have as many people on the floor as they're supposed to per person.

My mother-in-law is at The Terrace of Jacksonville. She's in rehab right now, but she will transition over to long-term care. She's only been in there for a couple of weeks and as of now, the care seems very good. They see about her often. She's doing good on the rehab side. They're helping her get a little bit more energy by exercising her and building some muscle, to help her move around and such. The care is really good. The food is good for what she says. It looks like an older facility, but there are always people around. If you need help, the nurses' station is close. So far, I'm appreciating them. The staff is very informative and very helpful. They're helping us with the Medicaid process and getting all that lined up. They've been extremely helpful in that regard. They have a courtyard where they can go out and sit, a visitation room, which is a large room where they do a lot of activities, bingo, arts and crafts, and things like that. They have quite a bit of activities. She's given a monthly calendar of activities. They have a Sunday devotional that she does attend. There are activities daily for the residents and they do come in and get her. She's not able to walk on her own, so they come in and wheel her to whatever she wants to do that day.

I had a family member who was admitted to Terrace of Jax for therapy. I am happy with the care they have given to my family. Although they are not perfect and it is very challenging to provide the best care with the current staffing issues in almost all healthcare facilities, I saw how hard the nurses have worked hard to take care of the residents there. I am also impressed with how approachable the medical team is. Seldom can you see a provider who you can talk to about your concerns. Dr Cantrell’s team has always been available for us especially in this difficult time. They are very nice, competent and are always there for you. The DON Milton is also there for all my questions. He is always around the unit. The admission team who helped my family did a great job. They have been prompt in dealing with our special case. Thank you to the staff of Terrace for doing your best in taking care of my loved-one. To the physical therapists/rehab team, you are all awesome. Thank you for working hard in ensuring my family gets to walk and be independent again.
