I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is a horrible facility. The staff is poorly trained, not skilled and honestly most unfit to be employed to care for elderly individuals. The rarely clean, you have to ask for simple assistance with tasks that should apart of their duties, changing patients bed linen, dumping trash. Nothing at all. My husband visit could have killed him from their lack of care and attention to their patients

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I requested to have my mom sent to the ER to evaluate her health because she was not sounding like herself... do you know these ppl told me that they would not release my mom to the ambulance and said my mom refused to go to the hospital...mind you she is not in her right frame of mind... I am trying my hardest to have her transferred to another facility away from these neglectful ppl... Her health has gone down significantly since she’s been in there...Since this covid mess it’s hard to even visit my mom because there is restricted hours...I don’t recommend this facility to anyone....

Would not recommend. Staff does as little as possible to help and with a few exceptions, has no compassion for the residents. Clothes and other personality items go missing so have to assume someone is stealing residents possessions. Food is very bland and not appetizing.

Poor teamwork skills

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

There is a lack of teamwork at this facility to where it makes it unbelievable that the RNs think that because he/she has on a white suite that he/she cannot assist the CNAs wearing a blue suite even if an ederly patient needs immediate assistance. The RN will be too busy to drop what he/she is doing to even prevent an incident from happening. Personally I would rather prevent an elderly person from slipping or falling rather than sit in front of a computer when it was brought to your attention that immediate help is required. Your tendant is about to fall. Also there is a BIG issue with clothes and other miscellaneuos stuff which comes up missing continously and it never gets replaced. Its like your are at fault if your belongins are misplaced by the staff members. I would encourage anyone who has a family member at this facility to show your face unexpectedly from time to time and you will catch alot of things that management is unaware of.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I currently have a family member that is a resident at Park Ridge. I visit her frequently (atleast once a week). Each time I arrive I am greeted warmly by the staff, that take the time to learn my name and details about our family. The facility is well maintained, and I can tell that my relative is in good hands. There is a nurse on staff to help with any health issues, and the facility is located very close to a local hospital. They even have an activities department that gives my family member and her new friends at the facility many options for creative outlets. I would definately recommend this facility to others. Maybe I will run into you at a visit!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandmother was a resident at this facility and I have also volunteered myself there. First I have nothing against Parkridge but I do disagree with a lot of things I witnessed. One of the nice things about Parkridge is there's a nice garden by the door which makes it very welcoming and the entrance is comfy. I also like the fact that you must call from a speaker before entering. So I felt like protection was good and secure. Another good thing about Parkridge was the activity scheduling. There was always something planned out for the residents to do.Now the reasoning for the 2 stars is for one, too many of the staff that I met just weren't all that nice. Plus on top of that, it was reported time after time again that my grandmother was missing certain personal items from her room such as (Delivered chocolates, money out of purse, bras etc.) She wasn't happy about this and neither was I once I heard about this! but nothing could be done because we didn't know who is was and I KNOW she wasn't the only one that this has happened to. How could ANYONE still from an elderly person? (that alone dropped 2 stars Ew.)When volunteering I seen some good and bad. I came while they were prepping for a scheduled activity. One lady I remembered was sitting in the chair screaming. I was told that she always does that and to ignore her. This scared me and it just couldn't have been pleasant for the others staying there. A lot of the women hair was not combed and the employee I was with at the time didn't seem happy about the fact she had to do the extra work to prepare them for the activity, because someone else was suppose to do it.My grandmother was a strong woman who was in her right mind and we came out often to see her so I wasn't too worried. But for the other seniors who didn't have family come as often to visit as we did, My heart truly goes out to them.
