They don't come to room to check on patients or clean them up. If you hit the xall light no one answer. When go to see why no one answered. Everyone sitting in a corner talking with each other. You ask for help they get an attitude. They don't want to get the patient out of bed. The state really need to do something about Winkler Court. Its awful. I can't believe what I see. If my family don't be there every day to tell them what she need. She would never be changed or clean up. We have been there and no one comes to check on her. We always have to call them all day. Don't take your family there.

My uncle with Type 2 diabetes was here for 9 days. 9th day he was not "talking normal " so they called EMS. When he got to hospital, his BGL was 370, had a 100.8 temperature and was in septic shock due to an UTI (he had a catheter). He passed 2 days later. And when they called a lady left a message stating that they had "an update " about my Uncle. I was his POA and Healthcare Surrogate, no mention of him going to hospital.

I arrived in terrible pain and it took 2.5 hours and 3 phone calls from my brother to get pain medicine. I was put in a bed and for the next 2 days I was on my own, the nurse call button did not work, I had just had back surgery 3 days earlier and I had to figure out how to get in and out of bed and holding on walls and furniture make it to the bath room. On 3rd day the woman in charge of Activities came in and I asked her to find nurse so I could get my pain meds. this angel asked why I didn't push nurse button. I told her they never answer it. Well this lady discovered the buttons on the entire ward were not working. Everyday it was a battle to get my pain meds that were to be given every 4-6 hours. most days it was 8-10 hours. On Saturday the 1st PT person came and could not work with me because I was in so much pain. my meds were 2 hours late, so she found nurse and got me my meds. on Sunday the 2nd PT person came and asked where my walker was. I told him I never had one. He left and later brought a walker and left. I couldn't get out of bed fast enough and wet everything, they came and put a gown on me and put a pad on the dirty bed and put me back in the bed. the staff wore name tags backwards so you never knew who you were talking to. I got an infection at the incision that took 6 weeks to get ride of. If you love your family member do not let them be taken to Winkler Court.

This place is horrible. It is impossible to reach anyone by phone. No status of patients rehabilitation was ever given. Arrangements were made for patient to go to memory care. Winkler said patient was being sent home in spite of being informed of this. Finally reached someone on 9/2 and they said patient would be released on 9/8. Said he did not need further rehabilitation but would not give a reason why patient was being held.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Do not let your loved ones go here under any circumstances. The staff will leave them to rot in their beds and will lie to you and say they are doing well. My grandmother spent 2 weeks here and when she was being discharged we had to call the EMTs to take her back to the hospital because she was starving, severely dehydrated, couldn't walk at all, and had a stage 2 bed sore on her rear. She was there to do PT for strengthening and gait and balance - no bed sore should have been possible if they got her up and moving as she was there for. Can't wait to find out what they billed to medicare so I can see what kind of fraud they committed
