I visited this facility

We did a tour of Sonata Coconut Creek. We liked the grounds and the atmosphere. The interior was bright, friendly, and sunny. The person who gave us the tour, she was excellent and professional. One person was helping themselves with the coffee station, a couple of people were sitting around, and some were watching shows. We did not see much. They have different games, movies, activities, and music.

My father moved into Sonata Coconut Creek. They're really good, but I believe just to get me in, they agreed to some things that they didn't follow through with after we moved in. He missed two of his appointments and no one reached out to let me know. I like the food. They exercise in the morning, and they have a movie room, a computer area, a little library, and they take walks around the community. That's it for right now until COVID eases up, but he loves the activities. It's just very expensive.

Sonata Coconut Creek is beautiful. I'm very impressed with it. My mother-in-law lives in a one-bedroom apartment. There are no cooking facilities in her room, but it had a nice-sized bathroom. They have beautiful rooms for games and a movie theater. The grounds are beautiful. There are places that you could walk around outside. She's happy with the people. She receives all the care with an additional $1,500 a month. She has somebody that helps her dress, bathe, go to the bathroom, and take her medications. She's actually gaining weight, which is a good sign.

Everything about Sonata Coconut Creek is very nice. We liked it, but we don’t know if it’s going to be too far to drive. We’re trying to minimize the distance from home. Everybody was very nice, and the tour person was very good. I liked the room layout, and it seemed to have a separated bedroom area. They had a craft area and room for movies. It was very clean and very nice.

Sonata Coconut Creek is the best and is the one for my friend. I like it. They have three buildings with two floors. I like everything outside, the paint, and the color. There was no odor or smell inside, and they have nice designs. The rooms and the way they present them are nice. The dining room is not too big, but it's good. The receptionist was very good at doing her work, and she speaks both Spanish and English, which is good. The girl who gave me the tour was also very nice. I also met the activity lady, who was also nice.

I was not happy with Sonata Coconut Creek at all. The tour was OK, but I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness. Everything was extra. One of the residents wheeled herself out into the parking lot while I was there, and I personally had to wheel her back into the facility. Even though there were five people in the lobby, nobody stopped this woman from leaving. Everything looked very dated. I wasn't impressed at all. I saw a shared room and one that was private. The shared room was very small for two residents being there. It fits one, but it's too small for two. The only thing that you can get in there is two beds. They had an exercise room, an on-site pharmacy, and an area dedicated just to physical therapy.

We decided on Sonata Coconut Creek for my husband. The staff was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have various activities and a lot to offer. The place was well-kept and well-maintained. My husband is living there.

There was a lady at Brookdale Coconut Creek who was exceptional. We didn’t try any of the food, but the cafeteria was enormous. They gave us cookies when we came in the door, which was really cool. They showed me us around; it’s like something from a in designer magazine. They had a big-screen TV on the wall, and they showed us a calendar of events and the menu. It was an impressive place, but the cost was outrageous.

The Brookdale Coconut Creek was very good. It was the same as the other facility, but I wasn't crazy about the size of the studio apartment. It seemed a little too cozy. Their two-bedroom that was available was nice and large, but it wasn't like a two-bedroom with walls. It was just a larger open space with a grand room and then the bedroom side of it. It was much more spacious and more appealing than a one-bedroom suite.

The staff was excellent, and there was really great communication at Brookdale. We really haven’t had any occasion to question anything of yet. The rooms are very clean and nice now that they painted the room and put in carpeting and tile before she moved in. There was a little problem with pest control, but then we called them, and they took care of it right away. She enjoyed the food, and she is complimenting how good it is. She does card games, music, someone plays the piano and they do offer some small activities like that. They lock down at 8 o’clock, they have sign in and out, and I know there are cameras.

Brookdale Coconut Creek was a very nice facility. Everybody seemed involved with the residents, and the residents seemed happy. The rooms were on the small side. They had a nice pool area which was surprising. They had a little coffee shop where people could congregate for coffee. They also had an activity room. The bedroom was tiny but adequate.

I liked Brookdale Coconut Creek a lot because I thought it had a nice, upbeat atmosphere. I thought the activities director was really good. I went for lunch with the Alzheimer's patients, the other one for the mild dementia, and people in the assisted living, I thought those were very good. I found nothing wrong with their program at all. I loved the sales rep; I think her name was Terry. She was outstanding. I would not have any problem living there myself even now. I really liked it, but my cousin was a whole different ball of wax. I would like to go there because I could just go to all the activities and do all the crafts. I thought they were really good. I was very happy with it. I had lunch there, and I thought the food was excellent. I was impressed with the whole thing. However, in the afternoon, they all were sitting out on that little tiny front porch trying to get sunshine, and since that was an area of congregation I would expand that and build that porch out because they were really jammed in there. However, they liked that spot a lot.

Homewood at Coconut Creek was nice. It was a bunch of smaller buildings, so there were less people around. It was clean, and the grounds were nice, but I didn't really see so many people around. The person that I spoke to was really friendly.

My father hasn't move in yet, but we chose Homewood at Coconut Creek for him because the people look professional, clean, neat, very friendly and also on time for everything. I really enjoy the interaction with them and I think it is a really good fit for my father. They apartments are very neat and very nice, and I like that. I was a little worried for a little while because they have two floors, and the apartment that he is going to use is on the second floor, but they are very professional and they handle my father really well. Normally, when my father goes to a different place and he doesn't like it, he starts getting nervous. However, for some reason, my father feels at home, he is not nervous, he goes around, he likes it and he is happy. They have activities like card games, TV, reading and memory games. I will totally recommend that place to others.

I really like Homewood at Coconut Creek. If my mother were more agile, I'd move her there. It's very clean, and a smaller community, thus they give more attention to the residents. I like everybody there. I checked out the rooms, they were nice. I like the dining room. It was small and intimate, but we didn't eat there. They also have exercises, bingo and trivia games.

Homewood Residence had a very interesting Alzheimer's facility area. It was in a completely separate-standing building with an iron gate around it. This is like severe, severe Alzheimer's, the high end of the spectrum. It is wicked expensive, but if somebody can afford it and they need that type of care, that is a very, very good place. I spoke to a couple of the residents, and it's a big place. It was definitely not the place for my mother to be.

I have placed my mom in a facility already. It's Homewood Residence, and it's a very clean, upscale, small facility, which is very nice, and the staff and everyone is wonderful. The food is good. So far, I've had no complaints. It's fabulous. Everything is clean, much cleaner than any other place that I went to. When I call, they answer, and they get back to me. It's a very good place as far as it goes, since my mom has been there for a month.

Homewood at Coconut Creek is nice, it seems newer but the rooms are too small. We were only there one time but we thought it was fine. But it didn't have what we were looking for as far as accommodations.

Staff seemed attentive to outdoor activities of the elderly. Many planned outdoor events as well as shopping services and shuttles. Somewhat child friendly when families visited loved ones.

Overall this assisted living home was great. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. Whenever my grandmother called for help they would be in as soon as they could to take care of her. My grandmother never complained in the three years that she lived in this home. There are many activities that are set up for the people that live their to participate in. My grandmother participated in many and loved them all. They kept the people of the community as active as possible and would go out of their way to help brighten or cheer up the people living there when needed. This is a great facility for the Coconut Creek area and I would recommend this to a friend or even to a relative that may need this type of assisted living. I would not think twice about sending my own mother here, knowing that she would be well taken care of and I would not have to worry if she was being treated right.

The facility itself is well decorated and gives the individuals living there a nice calm feel. The staff at this facility were wonderful, they made everyone feel like they were there relatives. I feel that anyone living at this facility will be comfortable and well entertained. I noticed the nurses here would sometimes go out of their way to keep the spirits of the individuals high. They always made sure the patients were feeling like they were at home. My friend's grandmother talked about how she participated in one of the activities going and how she had so much fun. She even mentioned how the younger nurses made her feel young and happy again. This place is a pretty good living facility and I would recommend it to anyone.

My cousin was twenty three at the time; she was in the last stage of ovarian cancer. It broke my heart to see her in so much pain; she was living in the nursing home and was basically unable to take care of herself. She still remembered me and my parents. She and I were very close when we were children, but had grown apart as we got older. The nurses knew she didn't have a lot of time left, and they were so attentive to her and upbeat. They always talked to her about going home. I know it was just a way to help keep her spirits up. But it kept her mind off the depression facts of dying so young. She had just gotten married two years before she got sick, so she didn't have a chance to have children. We visited her for three days before we had to go back home to Illinois . The staff really reached out to us and talked about how we didn't have to worry about her being taken care of. When we went home it was six months later when she lost her battle with cancer. I am so happy to know she was there in the end because the staff treated her with such dignity.
