I visited this facility

Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community was very nice, clean, and organized. They had a pool table, a library, and puzzle games for the residents. They provide three meals a day, housekeeping, assistance in laundry, and transportation. The tour was really good and informative.

My mom is at Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community's physical rehab department. She's been there since Tuesday or Wednesday. Yesterday, when I went to check on her, I had a tour scheduled and they were also having the Booster Day so they were really busy and kind of didn't have much time for me. It was really quick and to the point. The staff is great though. The food is also good but she likes to wait until the afternoon to eat. Right now, she's just going through rehab so I don't know much about their activities. I went in and saw her for the first time today and she seemed to be in a lot better spirits than she did when she was in the hospital, that's for sure. For activities, her physical therapy is going very well and she's happy about it. She's moving her leg better than she has in years. Her room is very clean and very well-kept. I saw the dining area and it's nice and large too. I was just in the physical rehab area where my mom is so that's pretty much what I saw. Just people in the process of rehabilitation. The nurses and CNAs are there all the time. They check on her so my mom is very happy with them at this point.

The Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community seemed fine. We chose it because it seemed like my father-in-law would have more of a private room, and he would like that better. It was cheaper, too. The staff members are very nice. We like the place. It is good and it would be good for him. The meals are included. They have a monthly list of what they are going to do for activities. I didn't look at what they were going to do because I don't know if he'll do it, but they have a monthly list of what he could do. I was mostly concerned that he was going to be fed, that he has his little kitchen because he'll mostly be staying in his room, and that he has a little patio, and he can go out on the patio and sit out there. I like the way the meals were set up because he doesn't have to eat whatever is there. There's a menu, and what he wants to eat, they make it.

My father has moved into Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community. I like that they provide meals, transportation, and do apartment cleaning. His apartment or room is very nice, clean, and has a nice view. They're very friendly. There's always somebody at the desk, and they're always helpful. I haven't tried the food because the guests aren't allowed to eat there. My dad says it is good food. The dining area looks nice. It has lots of seating, though it's just a little dining area. It looked like a nice community, and everybody looked friendly and happy. I thought it would be a good place for my dad. Each floor has different stuff. They have puzzles. They have bingo night and movie night.

Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community seemed to be a good community, and everybody seems to be doing OK with it. The people were friendly, but the price was pretty high. It seemed to have a good layout for people. They have elevators, and people were able to get around fairly easily. It's just COVID-19 is limiting the opportunities for people to gather together.

My grandmother has moved back to Villa Pueblo. She likes it, that's where she was before and she has her friends there. They have a dining facility, they take you to the store, and they take you to doctor's appointments. The staff are doing their job. Her apartment is clean but it's small. They have bingo, they do crafts, they have musicians come in from time to time, they have a hairstylist come in, and they have a cooking person that comes in and does demonstrations. They do a variety of things. They are attached to a physical rehabilitation hospital, so I'm sure there are things over there, too. It's a little bit more on the expensive side. My grandmother likes the meals most of the time. It seems appropriate. There's vegetables, meat and soups. There's snack options, and there's always a dessert. They provide two meals a day.

My aunt is at Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community. Things are going well, and we got her place all decorated. It's very nice and homey. The elevators and the laundry area are very convenient to her room. Her family brings her food up from the dining room, and she says everything is very good. It's the first place we looked at, and she felt comfortable when we walked in the door. They have ice cream socials, religious services, bingo, and entertainment come in. Everybody's very helpful. There are a lot of activities going on. I just wish she took advantage of the two meals a day. It's a little more than she wanted to pay, but she's happy.

Villa Pueblo is not a bad place. It's big and they have a lot of residents, so there's less one-on-one care. They use what I would call a med tech to pass their meds. They're obviously having problems getting qualified people in like RNs to work the facilities. The rooms and amenities were nice. The activity room has all the equipment that they would need for restorative care. It's a large facility and it is in good repair.

It is a high-rise building, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. It might depend on what floor I lived on. The building is old, but it seems to be taken care of well. They, in fact, are doing some additional updating at this time. The rates are higher than my budget allows at this time. I would probably have to make some other changes in my life to afford the studio apartment., and I'm not sure I could be comfortable in the small space. The lady who gave me the tour was very kind and informative.

Provider Response

Thank you Cassie for visiting our community. We are a high-rise building; however, you can't beat the views! We also offer apartments as low as the 3rd floor, for those that don't feel comfortable with heights. You're right! We are starting renovation on our hallways and common areas on each floor. This renovation will also include our "Penthouse Event Center". Please give me a call Cassie (719-253-3725), should you like to revisit the idea of occupying one of our studio apartments. Thank you again for your very generous review! Sharon Naslund Community Relations Director Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community

Villa Pueblo was a nice place and a little less expensive. Everybody was very pleasant and nice. They had larger rooms than the rest of places we saw. It seemed like they had quite a bit on the activities calendar depending on how mobile you were, and there was stuff for people who could get out more easily and accommodations for those who needed a little bit more help. The activities seemed pretty good. The food was very good, and you picked off of a menu, which is very cool.

Provider Response

Thank you Todd for your wonderful review of Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community! We pride ourselves on our extended menu items and extended dining hours. I'm so happy that you had a pleasant experience with us!

I visited Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community. The room was very nicely done and had been remodeled, but it was a high rise, which I did not like. However, it had a balcony, which I did like, and a living room, a very tiny kitchen, a nice-sized bedroom, and a bathroom. The staff and dining area were very nice.

I was given clear, concise information about the rental prices of each apartment: studio, one bedroom, two bedroom.

Villa Pueblo was not well kept. The outside was kind of broken down, and the inside was not maintained. I had lunch there, and it was OK, but the people who live there in general were not great.

Provider Response

Dear Richard, I am so sorry that your perception of the Villa Pueblo is not a positive one so please allow me to share with you all the exciting improvements which are currently in process here at Villa Pueblo Campus. Frontline Management took ownership of Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community in November, 2013. Since ownership we have added 25 short term private rehab rooms, all with European baths and we are in process of painting and updating our long term skilled rooms. We have been told that our rehab rooms are similar to nice hotel rooms. Our Design Team will be here soon to re-design our Independent Living Apartments lobby, dining area and public areas. This will also include our outside landscaping so that we will have that "WOW" curb appeal. The Towers apartments at Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community opened its doors in the 60's and the building is a bit dated, however, we are just beginning the refurbishment process on the Independent Living apartments to make it a better, brighter, up-to-date building! Richard, I invite you to take another tour with lunch and allow me to give you a different perspective. And, I just know, once you have spoken to our residents you will see how friendly everyone is and how welcoming our residents are to all folks. Our residents are always very eager to share with everyone how much they love living at Villa Pueblo Senior Living Community! Warmest Regards,
