I visited this facility

Sunnyslope Estate was fine. The staff members were friendly. They had a nice outdoor atrium. However, it is not the environment that we want. Their rooms are single rooms with big living areas rather than independent studios. They were a little low on the activities, too. They had few people compared to other places and shared showers, too. There were two showers for the whole house. For someone who has less income, I think the place is fine, but if you have more income, you probably are not going to want to stay there.

I visited this facility

Sunnyslope Estate was very clean and very nicely set-up. The price was very nice. It was no more than what I'm getting now. I met with the owner of Sunnyslope Estate, and he was very nice. They take the residents on outings too. However, it's almost has a boarding house type feel and more like a communal living situation. It's a complex where it has two houses that are separated by a huge garden. They have a central kitchen, a dining area, and the hallways where the rooms are. Most of the rooms have a communal shower. You can get individual rooms, but it would a little bit more expensive. For the most part, they share rooms, but it is like a hospital room where the people are separated by curtains. After I visited I knew that Sunnyslope Estate would be a place that my dad would not like. Also, I didn't see any activities. All I observed was the residents watching TV.

Sunnyslope Estate is operates as a home like environment. We strive to give our residents a safe feeling of home, unlike the big box options in assisted living. We do not have communal showers. Our showers are private however for safety reasons our showers are not in the resident's rooms. We offer private and semi-private rooms for our residents based on their budget. Sunnyslope Estate offers a very vigorous activities program. Our full time activities director assists our residents with various activities based on resident interests. These activities may include exercise groups, crafts, card games and board games, movie nights, gardening and many other activities of interest. We do not consider television as an activity and watching TV is only at the residents choice.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Sunnyslope Estate Senior Living is a smaller community and it seems to be working OK for my brother. It's like two houses put together, but my brother's private room is pretty small. They have a chef who makes the meals and my brother seems to like it. Everybody that I've met has been great.

I visited this facility

Sunnyslope Estate was a lot smaller than what I was looking for. They had 30 residents in two separate houses. The rooms were small. It's more like family-style where there were rooms, and then there was the main kitchen and dining room. Also, it seemed like they served family-style meals, and the dining area was like a family dining room. However, when I was doing the tour, the carpet was really worn.

I visited this facility

Sunnyslope Estate is like two houses. Everyone was nice and the place is homey. It has a normal dining room that looks like what you would have at your own house. The staff that gave us the tour was friendly. The kitchen was open so I saw the cook making dinner and it was fine. I don’t think they have a lot of activities for people with memory issues. Also, there’s not only seniors there but people with other type of health issues as well.

Located in a peaceful Northglenn neighborhood, this private residence offers a home environment with the safety and peace of mind that a 24-hour care center can offer. Sunnyslope Estates is a privately owned assisted living home operated by Tammy and Dennis Quinn. Located in Northglenn, Colorado, our residents have room to enjoy the outdoors or settle indoors with new friends. We offer a full compliment of services with 24-hour care.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and personal items to create an environment that makes them comfortable and at home. Or we can provide furniture to meet their needs.

Home cooked meals are provided three times a day with healthy snacks and beverages available at all times. Menus are designed with the input of the residents and are balanced and healthy.

Daily living assistance is provided by our caring staff including help with dressing, showers, and hair care and medication management.

Activities to keep an active mind are always a priority. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities daily.
