I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
The aides were kind. However, the woman who runs around with a guitar is quite the bully. Staff were always in tears in relation to things she had said to them. One aide, a minority, confided some things to me that were - unspeakable. How can I trust to have my parent somewhere that isn't emotionally safe for the help?

My brother is in New Day Cottages. So far, we're very happy, and he's very happy. They're very helpful. It's very small, which is what we're looking for. It is ideal for us. He participates in games, but other than that I'm not real sure what activities he paticipates in. It only houses 11 people and has seven bedrooms. Amenity wise, it has a family room and game room. I haven't tried any food, but he's very happy with it.

My dad Hugo has been living at New Day Cottage-Pine Creek for several months now. He is 98 years old and over the past years has been in two other assisted living homes. For various medical reasons we needed to find a facility that was able to give more personalized care and observation. After many, many phone calls, we found New Day. Ever have that feeling that the moment you walked into new house that it was the perfect one for you? That's how we felt when we visited New Day. And it has been perfect for Hugo. He can get outside and walk, he has a bird feeder outside his window, he enjoys the mountain views and the meals. As for me, I am content that he is being watched by folks who can recognize alterations in behavior or health and I can depend upon them to call. Give them a call....they may be perfect for you too!

I am very happy here. This is my home. I have lived her for four years and the staff has been wonderful to me. They are very caring, I would never leave.

Have been here for almost 2 years. It is homey and staff is very considerate and caring. The place is small and very comfortable. The staff has been excellent when I had a very hard fall.

My first thought when my husband and I saw New Day Cottages was that we really could live there. It's small which I really like. The place was just very nice. It's clean, open, and bright. I can say that it's very inviting and home-like. The rooms are very spacious. I have been there during meal time, and I think that their meals look good. It's like gourmet food. My sister in-law is very pleased with their food. As for their activities, they have planned game days, and they have visitors who bring in animals which is always a hit. They go to places too. I went once with a museum field trip with them. My sister in-law talked about going to a concert in the evenings. They bring in someone who does bible study twice a month. They have plenty of activities. It's more than what my sister in-law can be actively involved in. The staff was just very friendly. I think they truly have a heart for their residents. I have been there when crises come up with a resident. The staff maintain a calm and welcoming attitude. I'm very pleased with the staff.
