I visited the place recently, it is very well kept and clean, and most important noise level kept at minimal. It has a picturesque view overlooking the mountains in the front, and the park on the side and the back. Staff are very friendly and appears to be caring. Answered all of my questions and concerns. In addition, I noticed there are accommodating shopping center nearby.

When we entered the community it feels like home. The staff are so friendly and very welcoming during the tour. We can tell they are very genuine. This will be a future home to my mom. I can see she is enjoying her new home with neighbors and staff enjoying activities. I was surprised about the the food which you may order alternative menus and the specials for the day.

We had an in-person tour of Atria Del Rey. We just toured the grounds, and we talked about assisted living. We saw people working out in certain areas and doing different things. Crafts were going on in one place, and someone was doing a puzzle. There were different areas where people could gather and do what they wanted. It seemed to be an upbeat kind of place. The people seemed to be healthy in mind. They said you could eat any time of the day. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us with questions I didn't even know to ask. She was very thorough in her suggestions, thoughts, and questions that she had about my mom and what our needs might be. We enjoyed her.

I like Atria Del Rey. Although you have to bring your own furniture, I liked the setup there. Considering it's an older facility, it's modern the way it looks. It has beautiful gardens. The staff is very receptive to the residents. I just wished my stepfather had gotten out of the hospital at a higher level of abilities for his ADLs, so I could put him there. Plus, that was only a mile from the house. The staff were very engaged. They were taking down the anticipated needs of my stepfather at that time. This would be for surgery and they were doing what they could do to have everything ready for him. When he had one particular thing that put him in a different category, they were going to work around it with my mom, but now he's at even higher levels. It was their lunchtime and they were eating. Some of them were in the dining room, some were in their rooms. The dining area was very clean and I met the chef. You could smell the food and it smelled good. They gave us a treat, like a little muffin, and it was very good, too. It's just that when we went down one hallway, it had a bad smell. I don't like odd smells and I understand that sometimes people make a mess of themselves. I just hope there's some way to get that smell out.

We toured Atria Del Rey for my brother. We liked that they had balconies and people could sit outside but at their own place. We liked that they have the walk-in showers, which are safe for everybody, and that they have the little fridge for everybody. It is convenient, too. It's next door to a park, which would be great if families were visiting.

Atria Del Rey was a beautiful place. The least I liked about it was that no one was welcoming. Even people that appeared to be friends weren't carrying on happy conversations. I never saw the staff talk to anybody. It was really expensive. It was not a place that made you feel welcome and happy. Everything there was nice. The main problem was the cost. The staff members were certainly helpful. It's a beautiful area, surrounded by good restaurants and a nice neighborhood. You have a beautiful view of the mountains. It's in a gorgeous location.
