Lakefront Oaks Estate

Lakefront Oaks Estate in Placerville wasn't far from another facility we were visiting to consider for our uncle, so we stopped by. We did not have an appointment, but the staff was very welcoming. We were immediately impressed with the magnificent lake views. We happened to arrive just before sunset and it just took our breath away! We had just come from another facility in the area, so were quite amazed with the atmosphere in contrast to this one. The architecture and grounds were beautiful enough to compare it to a wonderful bed and breakfast. The quiet environment was soothing. Each of the gorgeously decorated rooms is equipped with an alarmed sliding door emergency exit. This is important, since each room has a fantastic view and easy access to the outside area. The library has an adjacent quiet room which our uncle really liked, since he enjoys reading a great deal. He was particularly fond of the recliner with headphones for music or the television. The food we tried had an unmistakable home cooked quality. Nutritious snacks are available at all times. The music, crafts, games and art offerings seemed above par to what we've seen. Because the area is a bit remote, they go to great lengths to having outside entertainment brought into the facility. We could tell that the quality of care matched the look of this facility. We've seen a lot of facilities in the area, and this is by far the best one in the Placerville, CA area.
