Leisure Vale was OK. It had a lot of spots to go outside to just enjoy being outside, but the rooms were kind of small. They had a big living room area with a big screen TV. The dining area seemed pretty nice, and they had a nice pool table, but my friend is not into playing pool. They also had a reading area and a magnifying machine where you could put the newspaper and read it. The people were nice, and there wasn't anybody who was rude.

I am a friend or relative of resident
My Mother has been at this facility since 2009, and I never worry about her. I know she is being well cared for. The staff is friendly, and she is happy with them. The facility is clean, and they decorate nicely. They take the time to have special guests come to entertain or educate the residents. The large living room with the big screen Tv, and fire place I really like, it makes it a very warm atmosphere. I feel very comfortable, when I am there. The parakeets are a nice touch. Mom always loved parakeets. The grounds outside in the front yard remind me of a place you would find in Santa Barbara, and Santa Barbara is a beautiful area. I would definitely recommend Leisure Vale. Driving up the street to the facility, there is a large Church on the hill that is very Majestic looking, it is part of the park that is down the street, it is breath taking.

Amenities and activities
In addition to specific therapies, we also offer enjoyable and convenient amenities, such as Wi-Fi, so if a family member needs internet access, it is always available. Should the patient want access to a computer, our activities room has a PC available, as well as numerous other activities to keep them engaged during their stay. We have a hair salon onsite, an outdoor garden and waterfall, and plenty of meeting places for patients to gather and socialize.
Part of feeling better is getting involved and staying engaged. Our Activities Director assures that there is never a dull moment at Leisure Vale! Our patients are continually evaluated for their cognitive skill level, so every step of their therapy and rehabilitation is followed by appropriate activities, crafts, games, and outings.
