We are a diverse group and welcome people from all over the world. Our home is ideal for residents 65+ who have mild dementia and enjoy a structured life. Daily activities vary depending on our resident's unique personalities. Our facility is structured as a home, where everyone can relax and enjoy each other's company.
What programs or activities does Around the Clock offer to enrich residents' well-being?
Group exercise classes (yoga, stretching, chair exercises) Learning new languages (we use Dueling App which makes it fun!) Daily Walks around the neighborhood or local trails (Fullerton Loop/Parks near by) Book Clubs (Weekly book discussions) Arts & Craft (Either random for relaxation/distraction or themed on upcoming holidays) Music Concerts in our living room (We Youtube live performances and let residents enjoy the show from the comfort of our living room) Karaoke Evenings Cooking Classes (We allow our residents to help prep meals with us if they'd like, this promotes a sense of purpose and accomplishment.)
What transportation services does Around the Clock offer to assisted living residents?
Residents will be driven to all their medical appointments. Any house coordinated outing (to the park/beach/event/etc) will also include transportation.
What makes the chef or dining program at Around the Clock exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
All meals are home-cooked with as many organic/clean ingredients possible. We are hispanic so some of our best dishes are Mexican dishes. If a resident has a favorite dish we will gladly look up a recipe and cook it up for them.
What safety features or security measures does Around the Clock offer to assisted living residents?
Our home is equipped with the Ring Alarm System. We have sensors on both entrance/exit doors as well as the garage door. Every time any of these doors is opened a loud "chime" is played to alert all staff. After 8 PM we set our alarm to "home and armed" which means an emergency alarm will go off and alert staff if anyone opens an exit/entrance door. We also store all kitchen knives/scissor in a locked cabinet in the kitchen to ensure safety of all residents/staff.
How does Around the Clock keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
Depending on the amount of notifications you'd like to receive, we will text you pictures/texts showing you how your loved one is doing/what they are up to throughout the day. If we notice a decline in your loved one's mental/physical health we will promptly notify you as well as your loved one's physician.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Around the Clock during daytime and nighttime hours?
If all beds are full: Daytime: 2 Staff : 4 Residents Nightime: 1Staff : 4 Residents If beds are not full, same amount of staff, just fewer residents. (Example: Daytime: 2:3 Nighttime: 1:3 etc. )
If Around the Clock accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
We do not accept pets, however, we provide pet therapy by inviting trained pets to visit.
What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?
All staff must undergo 40-hour yearly training approved/enforced by the Department of Social Services. 8 of these 40 hours are focused on dementia care.
How many staffers are on duty in the daytime and overnight?
Daytime: 1-3 Staff (depending on time of day/level of care of each resident) Overnight: 1 Awake Staff
What safety features or security measures does Around the Clock provide to protect residents who wander?
Alarm system chimes every time an exit/entrance door is opened. Night "Armed and Home" feature sets an emergency alarm off if any door is opened past 8 PM. Our home is also small/intimate. We will have a close eye on your loved one.
How does Around the Clock keep residents' families informed about their loved ones' health?
We will always communicate any health issues with our resident's primary caregivers and will also inform our resident's physician if we notice any changes in their health/mental state.

We are located in a residential neighborhood in Fullerton.
Is Around the Clock affiliated with a hospital if more care is needed?
No, but we will gladly assist if a resident needs to be transitioned into more intensive care. We also have two (2) hospice waivers, meaning we can allow a hospice company to come in and provide their services on our premises.

About Around the Clock
Around the Clock LLC is a family-owned licensed RCFE/board and care home. Our facility is located in a residential neighborhood and provides a warm home atmosphere. We exclusively house four residents at a time; this allows us to provide more attention and care for each of our residents. Our lead caregiver has over 20 years of experience as both a private caregiver and a large facility caregiver. The Licensee and Administrator have over 10 years of management and hospitality experience. We have teamed up to provide a service we know is hard to find: honest, reliable, quality, loving and consistent care.
Our home is the perfect environment for anyone 60 years or older who would benefit from 24-hour companionship and assistance.
