I toured Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea. The staff was wonderful on the tour. The thing I liked least was the price, but everything else was good. They had a library, a gym, and game rooms. They had classes and all of those things were very appealing. The staff was knowledgeable. They can answer all your questions. They were able to give you a really good tour and a feel of the community there. We had lunch there, but the food was bland. It's hard to eat and it was not good.

We went to Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea. We were very impressed. We made an appointment for the tour and the gal that took us around was excellent. There are no separate areas. If you go into your independent care and then you find that you're going to need memory care, you stay right in there and they bring the memory care people to you. You can get a studio or one-bedroom, or you can even get a two-bedroom. They had a gorgeous swimming pool. The staff sat with us first and went over things, and then she gave us a booklet to bring home to look at more, so she was wonderful.

My parents chose Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea. They're on a waiting list. The first impression was positive because, when my brother and I walked in, we didn't feel like we were walking into a hospital setting. It was a very open entry, like an upscale hotel. It had a concierge desk. It was very airy and bright. They had upscale furniture. People were there, talking, laughing, and reading. It was the first place we saw where there were people conversing and having a good time. They had a beautiful dining room right off the entry, where they have a chef and sous chef. The menu changes. If my parents choose to have a fixed menu, they also have that option. It is built in a rectangular shape so that if my mother gets lost with her memory issues, she won't get lost very far. I like that the hallways are very wide, open, and lit. It was an extremely clean place. Everything was beautifully cared for. The tour personnel sat down with us, discussed finances, and discussed my mother's situation and the care that they could give her. They have up to 7 hours a day of care for memory people to slow the degradation of their mental capacity. The activities change all the time. It's very enriching, from games to crafts. The apartments were spacious. The two-bedroom apartment is a little over 1000 square feet, which my parents are waiting for. It comes with all the appliances. If you need to go to assisted care, the only things that are removed are the stove and oven. They had a pool and a rec room. My dad was thrilled that they had a very nice library. They had an area that they called their sports room. It had a big screen where they showed all the games live.

Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea was fine. It was new and clean, but not what I was looking for. The director was very, very nice. She was helpful. It was just not what I was looking for. I didn't feel comfortable. The environment wasn't appealing to me. I saw two people sitting on chairs in the reception area. They were very elderly. The staff was really good. It looked clean and well-kept.

Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea is one building, so I have seen the independent living and also the assisted living; they're the same apartments but just have different services. It is a sunny, open, cheerful place, and it's welcoming. I visited a one-bedroom apartment of about, goodness, seven or eight hundred square feet. It's very well designed and laid out with a large open living and dining area, with a bedroom to the side. It's fully equipped with a small but usable kitchenette and washer and dryer. It was very good. I especially liked the floor plan; it was not chopped up into small units. It was open, which was very nice and flexible. The one who assisted me during the tour was Therese or Theresa. She was a fine representative, very informative, and candid about what they had to offer. And what was attractive to me is the experience for the independent and assisted living people to be integrated. They do not put the assisted living people off in a facility of their own, but with different dining and different activities, it's all the same. It just simply differs in what services are provided in the rooms, and Therese was very good in explaining that. I didn't eat there, but I saw the dining area, and it's a pleasant, open place. I looked at the menu, and frankly, it's pretty typical of some of the places I've seen. As far as the types of food, they have salmon and the pasta every day available, and then there are various interesting sounding meals daily. I observed the calendar of activities and excursions, field trips that they offer, which were varied and attractive. It's very very nice, and as reflected on the price, it's one of the most expensive ones.

I went to Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea and I loved it. I just can't afford it. It was lovely. I liked it very much. I got to see one lady's apartment and it was the smallest size. The apartment was a little bit too small for me, but I probably could have done it. I couldn't do anything because I still haven't sold my house, but I like the place because it had nice wide hallways, was very bright, and had light colors. I talked to several residents just passing by, and everybody was so friendly. The tour guides were very wonderful, too. I was really impressed with the place. I didn't try the food that day, but the dining area was very nice. I thought they had it arranged that everything was spaced out accordingly to the Covid situation. I think they did a very good job. It was very well organized. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. It looked perfect. I'm hoping for a miracle because I would love to move there. I really felt very comfortable there. It's one of the few places that I felt strongly about truly. I just really enjoyed it.
