Care has been sub par. many care and safety issues. In my opinion very poor quality food. Seemingly untrained staff and poor management.

My mother moved into Oakwood Village. It was very clean. They were very attentive to her. All the staff and the residents have been very friendly. The room was very nice; opens out onto a patio. She doesn't have a kitchenette or anything. It was just a plain room that we have filled in with her things, and she's making the best of it. She gets three meals a day and snacks, and she enjoys the food. The staff members were great. They call me whenever they need to inform me of things and let me know how things are going with her, so I appreciate that. My mom likes their food. They have a diverse menu, and they have a buffet sort of breakfast. The residents can choose what they want, and then they have a set schedule menu for lunch and dinner, and it all looks good. They are not getting the same thing every single day. They provide a lot of opportunities for the clients to be active and to go out on a drive, and things like that.

Oakwood Village was very nice. They're very helpful. The chef came out and talked to us for a good 10-15 minutes, and they offered my mother a free meal. The tour was really nice. The rooms were nice and clean. I was really impressed. They had a lot of activities, and they had a card game going on when I was there. I was impressed. They had a hair salon, a barber shop, and laundry and prescription services.

My mother is at Oakwood Village. The place was clean and had a lot of good things going for it. They have a shuttle to take my mom to her doctors' appointments. She has her own room and they will be doing her laundry and cleaning for her. If she wants to do some gardening, they have that means for her. They have the dining room set up for meals and there's also microwave if she wants to make her own food. They also take care of her medication and whatnot.

I visited Oakwood Village, but they did not have any openings at that time. It was a smaller group of my mom’s type of care. They had a smaller facility for that. I thought they were more of independent living there, but they had a little section for assisted living. The cafeteria was smaller and their activities rooms and stuffs were small, but they had activities also. It wasn’t as flushed, but they seemed very friendly and competent to do the type of care she needed, so I would have felt comfortable with that. I saw a room where they do drawing, painting, and coloring.

I visited Oakwood Village and really liked it. The way the staff cared for the people was really nice. The place was very clean. Their staff was also extremely helpful, courteous, and informative. They took me through the kitchen, which was very clean and organized. They also have different sorts of activities and a room with pool tables in it. They have different classes they offer for exercise groups and have movies as well.

I visited my aunt who used to live in Oakwood Village, and it wasn’t as nice after it changed management. It was still very nice, though it slipped a bit. The food was excellent with meal choices available.

I saw a room at Oakwood Village when I went there for a visit, and that was nice, but they won't accept a third party deposit.

My mother has been at Oakwood for about six months. It's a smallish facility -- about 50 residents, so it's relatively easy to know all of the care staff. That's important for older residents. The facility is clean. The staff is exceptionally kind and patient. The director is a champion. They offer fresh cookies and water or juice in the hallways all day, encouraging hydration. My husband and I feel the food is exceptional, although some residents complain it isn't seasoned enough. They offer transportation to medical appointments and regular outings. I highly recommend this facility. They also have a memory care unit.

I have volunteered there. The staff is dedicated and treat the residents with genuine respect. I have volunteered in several facilities and have found this one to be the one I would want to end up in myself. The Activities staff is dedicated and shows genuine respect and concern for the residents.
