My sister was at Noble Senior Living the last part of her life. It’s very expensive, but they treated my sister like she was a queen. She had the special hospice and nurses around the clock. They called me at 3:30 in the morning and told me she passed away. They treated and fed her well, and that’s something for her because she had some trouble were she was and she’s been in and out of hospitals for the last three years.
It’s several stories. I think they have two floors, but she was down on the bottom floor. When I came everybody came down and greeted me. They showed me where she’d slept and what she had access to. They had already packed up her things, gave them to me, and told me that my sister was a lovely person. They had a cook who talked to my sister and got her what she wanted to eat. It was just wonderful. They said that she was happy and very peaceful; she wasn’t in distress. My sister said herself that they treated her so well and she loves it there. She can watch television and they bring her the phone if she’s alright and can talk. She was just flabbergasted. Everything there was clean. Most of the patients there are acutely ill, but they had a place where they could all go sit and talk to each other. She just had a feeling of being comfortable, and anything she wanted she got. The gentleman there I got hold of every night to know how she was doing was honest with me. He would tell me he didn’t see a lot improvement, but she’s happy. She had a hospice nurse who also told me that they had a nice talk and that she was ready to go. I guess she was there a little over two weeks. That place was just beautiful.

I visited this facility
My father in law, recently diagnosed with onset dementia, was adamant in his own way that perhaps ""one of these days"" might need some additional care, ""direction"" is the term he used.
His wife, my mother in law, passed away from cancer and he returned to the valley (Arizona) to be near his kids, including me, his daughter in law.
For awhile he was fine on his own, still managed to keep a part time job, care for his five cats and take basic care of himself and his residence.
As time progressed, we, meaning myself and my husband and his two siblings, realized he might need more intervention with his daily care without causing him any stress or anxiety.
We began visiting facilities near his home, talking to staff and familiarizing ourselves with the protocol, which was new to all of us.
One of these facilities was Noble. A beautiful home, literally a house, in Surprise. The exact area my father in law had come to know and be confident in. We scheduled a tour with a delightful receptionist and right on schedule, they expected our arrival.
Honestly, a beautiful home with full access to television, newspapers delivered daily, exceptional staff, activities like noon walks, bingo, socializing, exercise! My favorite thing of all time was the ""letter writing"" sessions. It literally brought tears to my eyes.
I loved how Noble focused on each person. I mean, we aren't numbers. We aren't patients waiting to die. We're people, mental discrepancies or not. Noble really seemed to be in tune and akin to that idea.
I'd recommend this home (notice I didn't say facility?) to anybody.
