Oak Grove Inn

I went to see the assisted living facility of Oak Grove Inn. It was excellent. It had lovely dining accommodations. Everyone seemed to be very happy there. I think the management was very good. The food was good. They have good activities and good transportation for people who live there. It would probably be my first choice. The building was good. It's probably less than 20 years old, but it's been well maintained. The staff was good and very in tune to what was needed there. I had eaten there several years ago, but I have not lately.

Oak Grove Inn had a sink and a refrigerator and a little kitchen area in the room. I really liked it, and it's the best out of the ones we visited. It's out of the city. It's quiet and secluded out by itself. There are houses around, but not right up against the nursing home. You go through locked gates going in, so it's very secure. It was very nice. One of the men that's on the board showed us around and told us everything there was to tell. They had a nice sunroom that you could go and sit in, which was air-conditioned. They had such a small closet for a couple to live in. The facility was very nice and to me it was A+. They had 3 meals a day. It's very clean. The people were so friendly. They have buildings with different degrees of people, but they were all just so friendly. We stopped by the dining hall, and there were a bunch of ladies sitting and talking. We stopped and talked to them, and they're very friendly and they said they love it there. We met a couple, and they each have an apartment there next door to each other.
