They stopped sending statement, and they did not process through my insurance. I contacted them before about this. NOW they are going to send to a collection agency. This isn't right. I need to look for a new CPAP provider.

This is an objective review. I am a retired attorney and RN of the NJ Department of Health, where I supervised Regulatory and Law Enforcement. I went to school at Meridian's Nursing School, I worked at Meridian. It was an excellent organization. When I was hospitalized last year they sent an RN, a PT and OT to my house after discharge. The OT was great, the PT really didn't do much. But now my Primary Physician gave me a prescription for PT and OT because I have a new prosthetic leg. After sitting on the request for weeks, Meridian Home Care called and said I must physically see my primary before they will come out. The person who called sounded impatient and unfriendly. I'm a disabled veteran, confined to bed, and CANNOT see my primary! I can't get out until I have physical therapy to learn to walk. I am in contact with my primary by phone. As a health care professional, my opinion is that Meridian has deteriorated since combining with Hackensack. I sincerely hope Meridian at Home improves.

I was advised by a meridian at home employee to purchase a larger wheelchair for mom. We brought the chair to moms apartment and it did not fit through the door frames. I returned the chair but I had to pay a restocking fee and shipping charge. I was frustrated and anger that they told me to buy this and they didn’t know it wouldn’t fit. I spoke to the woman who left a message on my phone to buy this and now she denies the whole thing and told me “ I DONT CARE” . She didn’t want to take responsibility for her error. I still never got reimbursed. I can’t believe what happened. I rely on professionals to give me the correct information to help my mom.

The nurses are good! Two in particular are the best, Vicki is the nurse that comes to our home. She is a true angel! Lisa O. in the office is so helpful with everything at anytime. These girls cannot do enough for you. Everytime mom goes back in hospital, she comes home worse. Once Vicki comes to the home, she gets her back on track. Also Allison the scheduler is always accommodating to my mom's needs. Thank you girls! You are the best.

Their scheduling is terrible. They've missed two appointments and had to reschedule only after I contacted them. They don't give appointment times nor call the night before the appointment, as promised, and only sometimes call a half hour before the appointment. We're supposed to be available at their convenience, not ours. I'd advise that you make sure they have insurance authorizations for each visit before they come to you or else you will get stuck paying the bill. I had to inform them that they needed to get more authorizations (they only get 5 at a time). They are terribly unorganized. The nurses aren't bad, it's the scheduling/administration that's the problem.

I was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday with Meridian at home put in place to do care of my surgical site and evaluate my mobility at home. The physical therapist came within 24 hours and was great. The nurse to do wound care was another story. We did not hear from the agency until Sunday evening when the nurse called to say she would be by on Monday. I am lucky that I have no complications and that my wife has been doing a good job of caring for my surgical site. my advice, find another agency !
