They get him to his doctor's appointment and do his shopping. If you don't tell them directly what to do right there, they won't do it. I think they do okay. I set it up for my grandfather. I work a full-time job, and I live far away. I got them to keep his house clean and do grocery shopping. When I get there, the house is not clean, and they had just been there the day before.

We had a lot of people scheduled that never showed up. Every time someone didn't show up they said they no longer worked with them. That got old really fast. We are looking to get out of Visiting Angels. The service wasn't really bad but having different people coming in all the time drove us crazy because it was inconsistent. It needs to be improved. There were too many times we thought we had someone and they wouldn't come. It jeopardizes our home care. They are covering care while they are there, but it is stressful.
