It depends on the gender of the caregivers a bit. Men do not wash a woman as well as a woman would. Little things like that. Things are acceptable, but some people do things better or with more common sense than others. We have only had two caregivers so far. We would prefer good quality caregivers. Sometimes they have difficulty. Sometimes you have to repeat things, but Home Helpers is a step above other agencies. Their people do not mind doing what needs to be done!

I would say that the physical care that he has gotten and the oversight of his physical care has been great. They have been very good about providing the care that he needs, but sometimes the way he goes about doing things is not always the way I would recommend. I hired a caregiver from Home Helpers Home Care for my mother two months ago. They were very professional and caring, and I was very pleased. She went from daily care to a full 24/7 care, but each of the caregivers was very kind, very willing to help around the house and did a few extra things. Billing was very easy to track and follow. I really liked that I could take a look each day at what the caregivers had put into the log, and it was very comforting. There were some last minute changes that I had to make and they were very accommodating, so it went very well.

We hired a home helper staff member,Harriet, who came in once a week to bathe and shampoo my mom’s hair. My mom was 93 and very frail. Harriet was very gentle and compassionate with my mother. She was always very prompt. Xshe would shower my mom,shampoo her hair, help her get dressed and put lotion on her legs. My mother thought she was very nice and treated her very well. Once Harriet stayed with my mom for dinner and the evening during my nephews wedding reception.we brought my mom to the church and after Harriet met us at the house and fed my mom and allowed us to go on to the reception.they had a very nice Relationship and would alwa.ys. Me change hugs when Harriet left The agency brought us exactly the type of women we needed for our mom, they were also very responsive when we called about coverage for the wedding . My mother passed away in December about 10 months after Harriet began coming. We were very glad we found her to help with my mom’s care.

Home Helpers were able to meet our request, and the care giver assigned to my mother was professional, easy to interact with, and put my mother at ease. I have nothing but good things to say about the care she was given.
