Forbes Hospice

Mlac: "A very dear friend of mine, spent her last weeks at Forbes Hospice and I was able to visit with her and her family, almost daily. When i saw the dedication and care that she receive, I knew, then and there that this is what I wish, for myself, when my time is near. I am 84 years of age; have seen loved ones with "in-home-hospice care" and "in hospital, hospice care". None rival Forbes for the best care of the patient, nor the help to the family, involved. I want to find o... (read more)

The provide the best possible care for my mother who was dying of cancer. She loved each and everyone of them. She expressed her love and greatefullness everyday by hugging and kissing them good-bye. VITAS Healthcare

1 review
AFamily: "My mother was fortunate to live 90 years until her CHF condition became terminal and VITAS hospice was recommended. We were able to get her out of the nursing home and take her home, where she wanted to die. Her friends were able to stop by and exchange messages of love together. She told them she was going to see Jesus, and they cried tears of celebration and separation. She experienced a beautiful, peaceful passing, which brought comfort to us during a difficult time. Seven Oaks Hospice Care

1 review
Caring112065750: "My mom is on hospice and wants to be at home. What I like about Seven Oaks are the people who come to take care of her. They are nice, smiling, and caring. They are awesome. They come every morning and they bathe her, make sure she is comfortable, change her, and change the sheets. We haven't done this yet, but they are going to have the Chaplain come and speak to her, and they are going to have some volunteers come in and say, "Hello," which will perk her day up. We also ha... Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice

4 reviews
Ms.EHW: "Nurses were overworked - caseloads too high. Talked over my parent about other patients with regularity. The aide was wonderful and visited as needed. Nursing staff not so available. Family support was terrible. I would not recommend this hospice. However, there are caring staff that work here. Heartland did a 'good enough' job. "

Family Hospice and Pallative Care

Kimberly15: "We had a home health aid that comes in. When my father-in-law was in an assisted living facility, they were coming to see him 4 days a week. Now that he is at home, the home health aid is only coming two days a week. They come and bathe him; the nurse checks him. The social worker was working with us as well to try to find him other resources in the community. They even have a physician who makes health calls and comes in. The home health aid is just like a member of the ho... (read more)
