LifePath Hospice was recommended by the nursing staff at the assisted living facility where my mother was. They were the ones who initially made the call and coordinated it based on their recommendation of the type of services my mother needed towards the end of her life. They met with my mom and evaluated her. My sister was there at the time. They would take over my mom's day-to-day management of pain medication and medical visits as necessary. They did not do bathing or dressing, but they did all the medical, so my mom never needed to leave her room or the facility to be considered a client of LifePath. I think what they do is phenomenal. I think everyone that came in contact with my mom was respectful, professional, compassionate, and qualified. What they do for the patient's family at the most difficult time in their lives is nothing short of phenomenal. And they handle it all with grace, empathy, and compassion. It's not easy.

Life Path Hospice proved to be the absolute worst in a crisis! As my dad was suddenly struggling and gasping for air and becoming increasingly delirious- we were told a nurse was on their way to help...and finally, after TWO hours, (and multiple phone calls) someone finally showed! It was horrific! How tragic for my dad to suffer so horribly with no help from Life Path hospice. Be warned! Be sure to have another back up plan in the event of a crisis...I wish we had.

Had a Terrible experience. My husband is 51 years old we have a daughter 10 years old. We were instructed by the RN assigned to us to call the hospice emergency number as my husband was having trouble breathing and his pressure was high. After waiting 2 1/2 hours waiting for some one to show up we received a call from Carolyn who says hi I’m 45 minutes away do you still need me how inconsiderate and I humble and this is a nurse. Beware

Excellent experience. Very sceptical at the beginning but glad we selected this service and this company. Nurses and social worker that were assigned to us were excellent. When we needed help they were there for us (several times they came home even at night). Based on our experience we highly recommend them.

Despite my husbands terminal illness and prognosis of a life expectancy of less than 2.5 years over a year ago, Hospice kicked him to the curb indicating he was not likely to die in the next 8 months and therefore not eligible. We are now forced to have the private service (hospice referred us to) which requires us to pay $150 month out of pocket to have a Doctor come to the house so that he can continue to be prescribed medication. The cost of the medication has also skyrocketed. Prior to his dismissal he was on the program for a year and was a pleasant and “easy to deal with” patient so there were no personal reasons to desert him. That said, given inadequate medical care he is without his required oxygen as Hospice removed it, the new service didn’t order it and there was apparently a lightening strike...no electricity to run the machine that he requires 24/7. This is devastating. I am so disappointed in myself for trusting Hospice on many levels. If you are wise you will look elsewhere for your loved one’s care.

LifePath helped me when my Brother in Law was passing of Cancer. They made his last days comfortable. The Nurses and Social Worker were very supportive. Equipment was delivered and picked up timely. The nurse, Mark, who came to certify the death was wonderful.
