The services are adequate, but the day shift has more scrutiny because it's imperative that they do all the assigned tasks and tailor it to the individual they're working with. The night shift sleeps more than working because the patient is sleeping. Rosilyn and Bridgitte have been amazing. When you're dealing with seniors there's a multitude of problems that arise as they get older. It's essential that the aides are routinely brought back for retraining with emphasis on the fact that they're dealing with someone with multiple problems.

The caregivers from Right at Home need to be more interactive with me. I have to reach out to the aide myself when I need updates. If the place is dirty, I need to immediately tell the aide and then help him clean it, and he won't remember. So I want more proactivity from them.

I am not sure how the caregivers could have a greater impact. They have helped the most by just doing their job, being professional, and being empathetic. It has been helpful to the client. The thing that would be great is if there was notice of any caregivers and more consistency. The caregivers themselves have been really good and some have been exceptional. The agency needs to improve communication. The client would also like to have a more consistent person. The big thing they need to improve is the communication and telling people if the caregiver isn't going to show up. Switching days without notice is really kind of frustrating.

The owner of the agency doesn't seem like he is in the right type of business. He did more talking to me and didn't seem to listen. It was like speaking to a person who is a chauvinistic male who has egoistic issues who didn't like hearing any type of constructive criticism. He seems like someone who created a company as a source of income. He is dispassionate, impatient, and doesn't ensure all of his aides are up to a more uniform standard. I've gone through at least four home health aides. The aides who had come left the place worse than they came in. Right at Home wasn't my choice - it was assigned through the VA.

The physical therapy people were also really nice. But he only came once a week and only stayed like ten minutes.
