I was able to call the intake person, Sarah, and within two hours notice, she met my needs. She was very personable and knew how to connect with the people. I'm not sure they had control over the whole situation, so I don't think it's necessarily an agency's job to solve the complex issues of aging. I don't think the caregivers were prepared to deal with people who are being stubborn and senile with dementia. They should give them tips on how to deal with people who are confused.

I like the fact that when a caregiver can't be here, they always seem to find someone to be here with me. They help me by getting my groceries for me. I have a list in my house for things the caregivers need to do, and they always finish it.

I would tell someone that Home Care Assistance is very caring and hands on. They do everything you need them to do. My husband has Parkinson's and they are very helpful with following him to the bathroom and all over. All my caregivers are caring. Home Care Assistance takes care of my husband. I have them from nine to two in the afternoon. I have them seven days a week in the morning. When they are here I can go out and go grocery shopping. I can do everything I have to do because I know he's well taken care of when I leave.
