Visiting Angels seems to be on point. My mom really likes her caregiver. They are really awesome, and they are super quick to get back to you. It's convenient because it isn't only just calling; they can also text you, so that's awesome. They are just very quick to respond. What they do is more companionship, some household chores, and helping with showers if they need it. They would also take them to doctors appointments. You could have a different caregiver come in every time, but we opted to have the same caregiver come in every time. We are getting help with MediCal, so that's what they charge, and they charge it through the voucher. If I go over the allotted voucher allowance, I believe it is around $30 per hour. I feel that would be a really good price for what they do.

If I had to have someone take care of me, I would ask Visiting Angels. They are easy to deal with, and when I come to see my mom, they are always helping her to eat. They do everything we ask to. It was a day and night difference between the first two caregivers and the second two. They could be more consistent with the people that they send to the house. The first two people were very lazy and they just sat there and played with their phones. They don't actually come into the house until 30 minutes after their shift started. They were all nice, but they were unprofessional. The other two that they sent me were right on, as I would expect.
