I would like to have someone visit my mom twice a week while I am gone for two months in January and February. Who do I talk to about it?

I compliment you on planning so far in advance! I agree with the community member who also answered, but can provide a few more ideas and details. There are many private home caregiver agencies (essentially employment agencies) that will provide short-term care. You can find them on the internet with a search on "home healthcare" or "home senior care" or "home nursing care." Plus your mom's town, of course. You can also use the old-fashioned phone book. Caring.com has recently added a local resource tool (look on the home page) which should also help you find agencies serving your mom. And you can always check the Eldercare Locator, an online tool that will link you to your mom's local Area Agency on Aging, a government-run service that offers referrals on all kinds of senior services, including home care. Caring.com's local resource tool can also link you to an Area Agency on Aging.
My guess is you won't have any problem finding good care. Best of luck.
Contact your local home health agency and arrange for a caregiver to visit your Mom while you are away.
