Can I receive Social Security benefits at age 56?
I saw a website that was selling a book on Understanding Social security, and it said that you can collect Social Security if you are less than 62 years old, if your spouse is collecting (my wife is on SSDI) and you have a child less than sixteen years old living at home (we have a thirteen year old son). Is this correct? And, if so, how do I apply? By the way, I only work part-time due to a disability of my own.
