Palm View has gone through a much needed renovation that is absolutely beautiful. The entry is a welcoming sitting area where visitors can comfortably sit, relax, and spend time with a resident. Many ages are fascinated with the glass encased aviary. The tiny finches and cockatoos are interesting to watch as they flitter about the strategically-placed branches, peck for seeds left in the large un-used water fountain, or splash water while cooling down in the small bird bath. First impressions mean a lot and the entryway is very welcoming and homey. No TV to distract and no old magazines to clutter the overstuffed, leather couches. There is a phone available for use without fee and a clean spacious restroom is available right there to utilize without the need of searching for a key. A large, sparkling, container of iced water sits beside the Sign-in folder offering to quench the thirst of anyone. Palm View staff was consistently friendly, helpful, sincere, and professional in every situation. The Administrator, nurses, CNA's, Housekeeping, Laundry and Kitchen staff smiled and regularly interacted with the residents. i never witnessed the staff express frustration or any form of violence when i spent time visiting my relative. Some medications caused intense drowsiness - leaving me to sit, wait, and learn alot about the facility and many residents. the cleanliness of the entire facility is to be commended. Residents were always in proper-fitting clean clothes and had their hair brushed/combed. There was NEVER any body-odor; and never dirty, cluttered floor spaces. The food served was appealing, tasty, and affordable if i chose to eat while visiting during a meal. I was glad to visit daily.
