I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I am a relative of a current resident at Weiser Care of Cascadia and have nothing but great things to say about this place. The employees are great at communicating with me in regards to my grandmother-in-law's care and needs. They work with me to come up with solutions to help my grandmother-in-law in regards to her dementia and provide her with the tools she needs to succeed. My grandmother-in-law has made friends with staff and fellow residents and has really flourished in this environment. I am so happy with the care she is receiving at Weiser Care and would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of care or rehabilitation services.

I visited this facility

The staff is inconsiderate. They leave the front door open even when their clients complain about being cold. They tell them to put a coat on. This is not a place you want to send someone. The staff is very uneducated. Their responsibilities are the same as a certified nurse but they lack the necessary knowledge to be one. Their staff is disrespectful to family members who want to know more about their loved ones. If medication needs changed due to reactions and their doctor is unavailable the staff will continue to administer the medication until the doctor is available. This leads to unnecessary hospitalization. This place needs to be better educated on how to serve rehabilitation patients and others.

I visited this facility

A few years ago I had the privilege of visiting this nursing home. I was very impressed by the down home feeling. The staff really seem to care.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother who is now 97 years young has been in the Kindred Nursing facility since 2008. In that length of time after many visits there I have had nothing but good comments to make about the staff, care, meals and recreation that are daily routine and not just occasionally. The entire staff always has time for those in their care as well as visitors who may have questions or ask for assisstance. If my mother gets even a tiny scratch on her finger they will call me immediately. They always have time for a smile or a little cheering up if it is needed. They are very in tune to those in their care. The entire facility is beautiful indoors and on the grounds surrrounding the building as well. It always smells wonderful when you walk in the front door Often the smell of home cooking makes you feel like you just came home. I am so happy my mother has such a wonderful place to be in her last years after a difficult life. My thanks to Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all they do and represent. Lola Dunleavy
