I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is a very nice, convenient facility. It's kept clean, with no foul odors, and when needing assistance, the staff is very willing to help. Our parents are at this facility, and we feel it's a safe, positive environment for them to reside. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make daily activities run smoothly. Almost every day, it seems that there is a function going on in the dining area for the residents. Bingo, ice cream socials, residents can attend mass, painting classes, etc. One parent has been at this facility for over two years, and we have been very happy with the staff and facility. I do recommend this location to others. (This facility is also close to hospitals and many doctors offices...very convenient.)

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The staff are all very friendly and smiling. There is no odor when you walk in the front door. They have a really nice dining area and the nurses are all very attentive to my mothers needs. The floors are clean not like alot of other places we visited before coming here. My mom is still there for rehab, but we are hoping she can come home soon. She is doing a lot better and they take way better care of her there than the staff at the hospitakl did!

I am a friend or relative of resident

There are not enough staff to residence. Not very organized. My husband was admitted there Friday at 7 pmFound my husband laying in a bed soaked with urine in the morning 9am. They also forgot to bring him breakfast. I think they forgot to check on him all night and in the morning. My husband had a major stroke and was unable to communicate and incontinent. The staff seemed unhelpful. In particular, one nurse aide particularly hated changing my husband's brief. How did I know? Her attitude and muttering "I hate this!" She also didn't understand why my husband had difficulty using the call button. Not much rehabilitation is done here. I transferred my husband to another skilled nursing home where the staff were much friendlier and helpful and rehabilitation/therapy was better. If your loved one needs assistant using the bathroom or is incontinent, don't go to this facility.

I visited this facility

The Pointe was neat and clean, didn't have an odor, and smelled fresh. It felt homey. However, the staff was not as friendly as the another one we visited. They told me that they didn't have any room and put me on a waiting list, but they haven't called me once in over a two-month period. I liked that it's closer to my home. I also liked their dining area, which was clean and neat.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

She is at the Pointe Rehabilitation and Health Care Center right now. I haven't tried their food, and maybe that is something I should do before my mother leaves. The rooms are older, but they have a really good rehabilitation center, so that was important, and they have a lot of activities that she likes. It has motivated her to do a little more, and she is making progress. She still has other underlying issues, and that is the reason why we haven't brought her home yet. They have Bingo and things like that. They let them cook; they keep them busy all the time. They need to improve on the security part of it, and then some of the employees are not doing what they are told. She has to have a catheter in her changed a couple of times, and the girls basically told her that the doctor doesn't know what he was talking about because they didn't want to do it. But they were reprimanded, and the charge nurse told them that they could lose their job if they ever did that again, so I appreciate it very much. I probably would give them a two, only because of the staff. They have a really good rehabilitation center as far as exercise and programs, but as far as the facility, I just thought I can't put up with them. As far as the rehabilitation, it is excellent.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandfather is at The Pointe Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for a couple of months now and they are taking good care of him. The staff are very helpful. I'm in a wheelchair myself and they help me get out to my car several times. I've sat down with my grandfather while he is eating and I can see that the dining room is pretty good and very spacious. The rooms are kept pretty clean. They have a guy who plays the piano and they sing along, although my grandfather does not much stuff. He is happy there. The place is also centrally located right near a hospital. They have a lot of professionals. I was just there the other day and the podiatrist came in and clipped his toenails.
