I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father moved into Regency House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Everyone there has been very good and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. It's a very nice place. My dad has a nice area. It's a shared room. They have a round-the-clock nurse. The nurses help him get out of bed, to the bathroom, and with dressing. He doesn't walk anymore, so they have to help him in a wheelchair. The facility is very well-kept. My dad loves the food there.

I found the staff to be attentive and caring to my Mom's needs and responsive to my concerns. She was a fussy eater and the staff went beyond reasonable expectations to provide her with meals she would eat; the medical staff addressed emergent issues promptly and kept family informed of treatment. More recently my mother-in-law spent 2 weeks in Regency post hospitalization. The staff was able to calm her anxiety and patiently explain her course of treatment. She was pleased with her room and raved about the food. The possibility of requiring long term care no longer terrifies her( based on her experience at Regency) and has become a viable alternative to the increasing challenges of homecare. Again the staff is outstanding and dedicated to the well being of the residents of Regency.

My wife is in Regency House and my impression is very good. The staff is excellent and the food is very good, adequate, fresh, and very tasty. Lisa, the head nurse, Megan, the manager, Barbara, the daytime head nurse, Nicky, Alicia, and all the aides are very good. I would definitely recommend them, but it's a little bit expensive and excessive.

Depending on which section you are in the care varies. Passport rehab is great but skilled care areas are not well staffed and not that clean. Supervisors promise they will improve things but don't. Aides are very impatient and take forever to answer call bell. They need more training and more aides. Too many resident for too few aides.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom was placed in a convalescent home. It is a skilled nursing facility named Regency. It is perfect for her because she needs 24 hour care. That is a fantastic place. Both of my parents have been there previously for rehab because they have rehabilitation services and skilled nursing care. They have centers for Dementia there also. Their experience with the rehab is fantastic. My dad passed away back in January, and he was the number one caretaker for my mom, so she decided to stay there because of the 24/7 care that she needed. She is totally disabled. She has been there since October. They have anything that you can ask for. I visit her every day, and it is perfect because it is only a couple of miles away.

This facility and staff have been wonderful and so caring for our family. My father has been here for three weeks and we have been so pleased with everything. The care and compassion is excellent. He is very happy with his room and the therapy. Thank you.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My grandpa is here. He started in rehab after a stroke. However, that stroke led to dementia. He is now "upstairs," which is where the dementia patients are. I don't like nursing homes, but he is really sick so he has to be there. We had him being treated at Montowese before and that was horrible, so my Gram moved him to Regency. It's very clean there, very well managed, the facilities are actually pretty darn nice. Many rooms are shared, which is kind of a bummer. Would wants a room mate? Especially at that age. The staff (at least when we are there) are really nice and patient. My grandfather's personality changed so he can be mean, but the staff is still nice to him. The food is good too! I ate there before. My gramp seems to like it. It seems like a decent place to be. There's a back area you can be outside, but I never see anyone back there. I wish they had a really nice outside area, so the oldies could get more fresh air. I have taken my gramps outside to the patio in the back though.
